Great stay at the Holly Cottage for our Christmas holiday. The cottage is nestled in a cute smallVillage with a lovely pub at the end of the road. Beautifully comfy beds with lovely linen, open fire and lovely kitchen. There are stairs to the upstairs 2 bedrooms with one bedroom downstairs with no stair access! Overall lively stay!
The cottage is charming and has a beautiful garden. We only stayed two nights, but enjoyed walking through the village and down to the nearby pub for some excellent (though not cheap) food. It's also well worth walking up to the church and Minster Lovell Hall ruins in the opposite direction. The cottage is old and creaky and has some issues that come with age (eg. a cracked window, low ceilings, some minor damage), but those were kind of expected and not a big deal to us. Some provided toiletries would have been nice in the main bathroom. Our only real complaint was that, while the big clawfoot bathtub positioned in the center of the upstairs bathroom looks nice, it's not very practical to actually use.
