It’s big enough to sleep 10 people in five lovely spacious bedrooms with the Master Bedroom featuring a unique glass floor which overlooks the sitting room, which can be covered by a rug for privacy.

The Meeting House is aptly named because the house is very sociable. Beautifully decorated, with glorious, often quirky antiques, there are several reception rooms which mean you can spread out and do your own thing or simply entertain friends with space to spare. The house is perfect all year round. In the winter, grab a book, snuggle down and toast your toes by one of the wood-burning stoves and soak up the atmosphere of the historic rooms. In the summer, pour yourself a glass of something special and enjoy the sunshine in the stunning courtyard, complete with all the furniture you need to dine al fresco in style. The Meeting House won’t disappoint. You’ll fall in love with its charms and its situation – all the right ingredients for the perfect homestay.

In the summer St Lawrence’s chapel, a 600-year-old chantry is open to the public. Look out for the concerts and recitals which regularly take place.
