This home is remodeled with modern ammenities yet retains historic Victorian charm with unique spaces full of character and grace.

Guests must be comfortable with operating the pellet stove including lifting and pouring pellets into the stove top and climbing stairs. The very top deck is accessed via stairs.

The neighborhood has a mix of modern, some Victorians, some smaller homes that could use a makeover.

I traveled with my wife and three young daughters, and the house was perfect for us. It was very clean and well stocked, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - including toys and games for the kids. It was very conveniently located to town and the national park. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had a wonderful experience at the painted lady. The location was great for accessing Olympic National Park and Victoria BC. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Was the perfect retreat space to settle in and do some inner work and have plenty of romance. Day excursions into the park and to the spit were very easeful. With a great soak in the hot-tub to round out each day.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Cleanliness was top notch, beds were comfortable, and so many other lovely touches that allowed our family to sit back and relax! Very cute house, exactly as described

We had a great stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and beds were comfortable. Everything was labeled so it was easy to find what we needed. Good instructions for the various ways to heat the house too. The house and the way it is decorated have a lot of character. Great for our girls weekend.

Perfect place to stay with our adult children. Beds were very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything that you might need other than the usual things you bring yourself. Better stocked with things like sugar, umbrellas and nice toiletries than any other place we've stayed. The location of things was nicely labelled. We liked the self check in and the yummy goodies waiting for us as well.

Perfect for a family getaway!

This home had everything that anyone would need for a home away from home. Waking up to the sunrise and our evenings with the sunsets!! So much to see and do in the area. The weather was perfect for hiking the trails in Olympic. It was great to have a hot tub to come back to soak in after hiking. Thank you for making this a great getaway for our family! Wish we had more time to spend in the area.

Hobbies include mural painting, photography, travel and archaeology. We want you feel like the Victorian Retreat is YOUR second home.

Why they chose this property

The Victorian Retreat is located in “Harbor View”, an older residential neighborhood near the bluff with views of Canada. High end restaurants, kid-friendly parks and coffee expresso shops are walking distance to the house.

Ideally located near the bluff makes for enjoyable morning and evening quiet walks around the neighborhood with views of the Juan De Fuca waters, Canada, Victoria BC and San Juan Islands in the distance. The night stars are gorgeous and very visible in this neighborhood.

Favorite restaurants and 'things to do guide book' is available at the house along with hiking books.

What makes this property unique

We added an LED Happy Light therapy lamp as well as providing masks and hand sanitizer. Also available is a Bissell air320 Smart Air Purifier with HEPA and Carbon Filters plus our licensed professional cleaners use enhanced cleaning protocols.

Please note that the upstairs queen bedroom and the main floor bedroom are petite. The Master Bedroom upstairs is very generously spacious.

Additionally, please understand that this home is gorgeously remodeled yet retains it's historic charm with unique spaces full of character and grace. Guests must be comfortable with operating the pellet stove including lifting and pouring pellet bags into the stove top as well as accessing the balconies from the master bedroom or spiral stairs.
