About this property

Luxury Penthouse: Terrace, Hot Tub and Sauna

Luxury penthouse with private terrace, LUXSPA hot tub and Finnish sauna, minutes from Corralejo

A 128 m² penthouse in a gated private resort in Villaverde (La Oliva), northern Fuerteventura, a 5-7 minute drive from Corralejo, its Grandes Playas and the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park. Sleeps 2 to 4, with a private roof terrace for your exclusive use reached by its own outdoor staircase: hot tub, sun deck, loungers, and views that take in the volcanoes, the plain running down to the sea and the coast of Lanzarote.

This is not an apartment with a view. It is an apartment with its own upstairs, shared with nobody.

A five-star repositioning, with the invoices to prove it

We have repositioned both apartments as luxury accommodation, and that is not a word added to a listing: it is an investment you can already enjoy. Modernised interiors, redesigned outdoor spaces, bespoke chill-out furniture, high-end textiles, 300 thread count satin bed linen, new towels and, in June 2026, the complete replacement of both hot tubs with LUXSPA equipment. In November 2026 the private Finnish saunas arrive.

Luxury, as we understand it here, is not an adjective in a headline. It is the water being ready, the bed made up with the pillow you asked for, and nothing shared with anyone.

Private LUXSPA hot tub, renewed: perfect water, no timetable

In June 2026 we completely replaced the private hot tub with LUXSPA equipment, a clear step up from the previous one in hydromassage power, thermal insulation and, above all, water quality.

There is no timetable and it never switches off. The hot tub stays permanently on to hold its temperature and keep filtering, so it is ready whenever you want it: at sunrise, after the beach, or at three in the morning under some of the clearest skies in the Canaries. You do not have to switch it on, programme it, or wait for it to heat.

Water treatment is automated, with ultraviolet light, ozone filters and continuous cleaning. The result is water that is always crystal clear and perfectly clean, without the smell or the eye and skin irritation of harsh chemical treatment. It is the standard a professional spa applies, in a hot tub you share with nobody.

We ask two things only: please respect the resort's quiet hours, out of consideration for the neighbours, and put the cover back on after each use, for safety and to keep the water warm.

Private Finnish sauna from 1 November 2026

Each apartment gains its own private Finnish sauna in Ayus wood, with a volcanic stone heater, benches at two heights, a full glass door, warm LED lighting and Finnish-made electrics. They are being manufactured and installed now and will be available for stays from 1 November 2026.

Not shared with the other apartment and with no spa timetable: you switch it on when you like and use it for as long as you like. Bookings before that date will still enjoy the refurbished apartment, the outdoor spaces and the LUXSPA hot tub, all already in service.

The private roof terrace: what makes this penthouse different

You reach it by its own outdoor staircase, not a shared one. Up there you will find the LUXSPA hot tub, a curved built-in sofa with turquoise cushions and LED lighting beneath the seat, sun loungers, a table for breakfast in the open air, and 360 degrees of horizon: volcanic cones on one side, the plain dropping to the sea on the other and, on clear days, the coast of Lanzarote.

By day it is a sun deck. At dusk, with the LED lighting on, it becomes somewhere else entirely. And at night, with no street lights anywhere near, it is one of the best places on the island to sink into hot water and look up.

Inside: 128 m² designed for staying put

A bright living and dining room with a petrol-blue sofa, matching curtains, a 55 inch smart TV with Bluetooth soundbar and Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Prime Video, plus a sofa bed for two more.

An open-plan kitchen with island, stools and generous worktop. Fully equipped: ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, espresso machine with grinder, citrus juicer, toaster, kettle and a complete set of cookware for cooking properly, not just getting by.

Bedroom with double bed and a tall tufted headboard in petrol blue, bedside tables, blackout blinds so you wake when you choose, a 32 inch smart TV and direct access to a private balcony overlooking the pool.

Full bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower, rainfall head and glass screen.

Washer-dryer built into the units, washing and drying in the same drum with nothing to hang out, plus iron and board. On a longer stay, or travelling with children, this is worth more than any extra.

A covered terrace with pendant light and outdoor dining table, for eating in the shade any day of the year.

Five-star sleep: 300 thread count and your choice of pillow

Real luxury is not seen: it is slept in. Every bed is made up with 300 thread count satin bed linen, a finely spun fabric with a satin finish, cool as you get in and soft all night. It is the standard of five-star hospitality and it is what you will find here at every change of sheets.

And you choose your pillow, because nobody sleeps the same way. We keep three types and prepare the one you prefer before you arrive: memory foam, which moulds to the neck and supports it, for side sleepers or anyone carrying neck tension; feather, light and soft, which you can plump to taste, for front sleepers or anyone who likes it low; and firm, with body and a stable height, for back sleepers who need support. Just tell us before you arrive.

Add to that new towels, outdoor textiles chosen for quality and for standing up to the Fuerteventura sun, and more than 65 amenities so you go without nothing.

Working remotely from here actually works

There is a desk area with a work chair and high-speed fibre optic internet, air conditioning and heating. The resort is genuinely quiet, with no traffic and no building work, so video calls come out clean. And when you close the laptop, the roof terrace is one staircase away. Fuerteventura runs one hour behind mainland Spain, which fits without friction with almost all of Europe.

Resort facilities

A private, gated, low-density resort with security and 24-hour access control. There are two swimming pools: a large one with sun deck and loungers, and a round children's pool, shallow and set apart from the main one. Gardens of Canarian plants and volcanic rock, landscaped walkways and free parking inside the grounds.

We also leave you a complete beach and pool set: chairs, parasol and towels, plus board games and beach games for children and adults.

Getting here, and why a car is essential

Fuerteventura airport is about 31 km away, a little under half an hour by dual carriageway. We will say it plainly before you book: you need a car. This is not a walkable location, and we do not see that as a flaw: it is exactly what makes this a place where people rest. In return, minutes by car puts the whole north of the island within reach, and you come back to somewhere with nobody around.

We recommend renting with Cicar (Canary Island Car): local, fully comprehensive insurance with no excess, and airport collection. Parking inside the resort is free.

What is nearby

Corralejo, 5-7 minutes by car: the Grandes Playas and the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, kilometres of white sand and turquoise water looking across to Lobos Island and Lanzarote. Marina, beach bars, restaurants, nightlife and the ferry to Lobos and to Playa Blanca.

El Cotillo, to the west: the northern lagoons are calm, shallow water and among the best family beaches in the Canaries; Playa del Castillo is a surfing landmark. The village is known for its fish of the day, octopus and seafood.

Lajares: a village of craftspeople and surfers, with a craft market on Saturdays, cafés and bakeries. The climb up the Calderón Hondo volcano starts here, one of the most rewarding and accessible walks on the island.

Hiking and stars: you are in the oldest volcanic field in the archipelago, under skies with no light pollution. Waymarked trails start practically at the door.

Shops and restaurants

HiperDino supermarkets in Lajares, Corralejo, Villaverde and El Cotillo; Lidl and Mercadona in Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario; Aldi in Puerto del Rosario. Cafés and bakeries: El Archo, Panateca and El Goloso in Lajares, and Confitería Mi Dulce Hogar in Villaverde.

Who this apartment suits

It works particularly well for couples wanting privacy and a spa plan without leaving the house; for families of up to four, with the children's pool and the sofa bed; for anyone working remotely for a few weeks with good connection and a better setting; and for walkers, surfers and stargazers, who get volcanoes, waves and sky in one place.

It suits you less if you want to be in the middle of the action and move around on foot: Corralejo town is the better choice for that, and we would rather say so up front.

Climate: why there is no bad season here

Fuerteventura averages around 22 degrees a year with more than 300 days of sun. In winter you swim in 19-20 degree water; in summer the trade winds keep the heat from building. That is why the hot tub makes sense in January and the roof terrace makes sense in August.

Self check-in

Independent access with a TEDEE PRO smart lock: you receive a personal link on your phone, with no app to install. No waiting, no reception hours, no keys to collect anywhere. We send you all the instructions before you arrive.

Your hosts

We manage both apartments personally. We have been Airbnb Superhosts since 2019, with a rating of 4.98 out of 5 across 374 reviews. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; between 21:00 and 07:00, emergencies only. Before you arrive we will ask you one thing only: which pillow you prefer.

What guests say

With 374 reviews and an average of 4.98 out of 5, what comes up most is the cleanliness, the quiet of the setting, and the surprise of the roof terrace: almost nobody expects it to be genuinely private until they climb the staircase and see for themselves. And since June, the new hot tub.

House rules

No parties or events. No smoking inside. Please respect the resort's quiet hours, particularly on the roof terrace and in the hot tub. Leave the hot tub cover on after each use. If you are travelling with a pet, please ask before booking.
