Oakleigh by the Sea really is in the perfect position for anyone wishing to be footsteps from the beach and lots of great places to eat, drink and shop. Sitting in the heart of the bustling seaside town centre of Cromer, it is tucked away on the second floor so you can be sure of a good night’s sleep. Light and airy, it has been decorated and furnished with loving care by the owners to provide stylish, comfortable accommodation for up to six people in two bedrooms and boasts two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. The kitchen is very well equipped, but you will also find yourself with a great choice of restaurants, inns, cafes and takeaways to choose from so those hoping not to do very much cooking on their holiday will certainly have chosen the right property. Although there is no parking at the property, you can buy a parking permit from North Norfolk District Council which is valid for a week and can be used in any NNDC car park, making this a great option for sightseeing and touring
Cromer itself boasts a lovely wide sandy beach which is just minutes from the apartment. The Edwardian seafront and wide promenade is often featured in television productions as it has changed very little over the years, as is the famous pier which is perfect for a morning coffee, a leisurely lunch and a spot of people watching. Cromer also boasts a cinema, Amazonia Zoo and a great selection of seaside amusements. It does also have a mainline train station, making this perfect for guests who wish to leave their car at home. The train from here will take you to the heart of the Norfolk Broads and on to the medieval city of Norwich, both of which are well worth a visit. Add in things to do such as BeWILDerwood, the Felbrigg, Blickling, Holkham, Houghton and Sandringham Estates, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, the former with its Christmas Spectacular and Santa’s Magical Journey, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, RSPB Cley Marshes and Sheringham Park along with Bure Valley and North Norfolk Railways and you will soon see why this area is so popular. That is, of course, if you can tear yourself away from charming Cromer which will be some feat in itself. Enjoy!
