MARATHON SUNRISE DREAM Surrounded by turquoise waters, with gentle sea breezes - enjoy the tropical paradise in the heart of the Keys! Home is located where the street ends and the ocean begins!

World famous sport fishing - with 150 feet of concrete dock on deep-water canal. Oversized lot has plenty of room for parking and bring your boat trailer! Some of the best scuba diving in the country is just off Sombrero Reef!

Entertain and relax on the huge open covered deck, adjoining the large family room with glass on three sides. Sunbathe on the open deck, swim in the private pool, relax in the hot tub or launch from our kayak dock one of our kayaks provided for your enjoyment. Sidewalk on tidal pool extends into the Atlantic for fishing or viewing. Drink your morning coffee to brilliant sunrises at MARATHON SUNRISE DREAM and cook fresh fish on the outdoor grill as the sun sets!

WE DO HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY
Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel after that point, they will not get a refund. Please call us if you have any questions.

Outdoor security cameras are for both guest and owner safety. They are located under the house, and eaves. Coverage area - front door 2, kayaks under the house 1, driveway 1, tidal pool 3, boat dock 1, kayak dock 1, parking area 2.

House was perfect with amazing views, plenty to do. For our group the location was just what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the sunrise every morning. If we ever go back to the keys, would stay here again without hesitation.

Have been to the Keys several times but this trip and house was the best by far, has the best views of the ocean plenty to do on the island for all ages will defiantly be rebooking and telling friends and family about the house and location

Wonderful property

We had a fantastic time here. Can not beat the ocean view! Loved sitting on the large outdoor area deck. Having coffee in the morning & ate all our meals out there too. Pool was terrific & the use of kayaks and fishing gear a definite big bonus!! The only complaints we can think of were the cleanliness of house. House cleaners could do a bit better for such a nice place. Also, we thought the furniture in living area was a bit overused. Thank you for the use of the home!!

This house is perfect for our family! All bedrooms on one floor make it great for the kids. Kitchen has most common appliances, pool is clean and refreshing, bedrooms are cozy, laundry machines are excellent! We’ve already booked for next year!

A Perfect Stay for Family Memories

Sunrise Dream was chosen as the location to spend our 50th Anniversary and long awaited family vacation. The property was well equipped and comfortable, and the amenities more than exceeded our expectations. The owner and the Property Manager were helpful and very responsive to any questions. It was deemed our best vacation by all 10 family members ages 4-72!

Great week with the whole family

We had a great week in this beautiful home. It was incredibly comfortably for our family of 7. The pool, hot tub, pool table and foosball table were great fun. The kitchen, great room and dining area were fantastic. We spent every morning having coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean. We loved our time here and will be back.

Spring Break March 2024

It was myself, husband, 20 yr old son and 12 yr old son. We had a fantastic time. Watched the sunrise daily. I miss my chair on the ocean. Plenty to do with kayaks, pool, pool table, fishing, hot tub. We also rented a boat for a few days. It was a great location, close to food options, ice cream, grocery stores. Loved it and hope to return!!

Beautiful house and property! Great service from Vicki the property manager! Please note the entire town is rebuilding from hurricane Irma so there is construction noise, that didn’t bother us, just happy to see it being rebuilt! We had a group of 8 adults, the house fit us perfectly no complaints only praise!

beautiful house on the ocean. Plenty of places to relax and hang out together. If i had one negative about the house is that we would have preferred another bathroom. Its important with adults to each have your own bathroom and not to share with another couple, Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend renting this house

Best Vacation Ever

My family and I took our first vacation to the Keys and this home did not disappoint. The house was the perfect size for my family of 6 and the location was amazing! The pictures of the view are beautiful but don’t do it justice! In person, it was breathtaking!!! The owners and managers of this home are so accommodating and a joy to work with! Anne is so kind and will help you with anything you need! I hope we can return one day! We miss it already!

Unbelievable views

This is an unbelievable property. The house was clean and the furniture was comfortable. There’s lots to do with the kayaks and the paddle boards, the pool table and the foosball table there was never a dull moment. We even caught some fish. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that could make this better would be the addition of a ladder on the dock side. However, that’s only because I’m somewhat handicapped and had a hard time getting up on the floating dock. My kids had no trouble at all. We all had a lot of fun and the views were magnificent! The laundry situation is also great. I stay in the Keys every year and this was one of the best places I’ve stayed. Well worth the money.

Amazing visit to the Florida Keys!

We spent a week at this house with another family. There were four adults and five children. It was absolutely perfect! Home had every amenity that we could possibly want. Extremely responsive property manager when I called to ask a question during our stay. Location couldn’t have been better. We spent many hours lounging in the sun, fishing from the dock and swimming in the pool. Home was in a very convenient location close to restaurants, grocery store and many activities. Approximately an hour to Key West. We highly recommend this home to other families looking for a retreat in Marathon, FL. You won’t be disappointed!!

Spring Break

We stayed at this property the last week of March, for spring break. The house and property are AMAZING!!!!!! There were 10 of us (grandparents, kids, grandkids) and the house was the perfect size. Plenty of room to spread out, if needed, and the perfect amount of space for game nights in the evenings. The bedrooms are perfectly laid out. And the house was spotless. The view is the most beautiful view that we’ve ever seen. We had a momma and baby manatee visit every morning at the dock. And caught a few fish from there as well. We had 3 cars (full size SUVs) and had more than enough parking. The pool area was nice and refreshing, and plenty of space / seating for all of us. The kids enjoyed the kayak launch and exploring the waters around the house. Ann was wonderful. I spoke to her several times before our arrival, and she went above and beyond anything we could expect. We will definitely look into this home again in the future.

Perfection

We couldn't have been happier with our stay! It was like having our own personal oceanfront resort, complete with views, a pool, hot tub, kayaks, fishing docks, amazing outdoor seating and dining, etc. The interior was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for all. Property is centrally located with Publix and restaurants just minutes away. Highlights include morning and late afternoon kayaking, manatee spotting while sitting by the tidal pool, watching dolphins jumping and playing while eating breakfast outside, cooking our freshly caught mangrove snapper for an amazing dinner, and relaxing while our kids spent hours each day in the pool. While we were there we swam with dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center, kayaked the mangrove tunnels at Curry Hammock State Park, snorkeled at Bahia Honda State Park, fished and island hopped with SeaSquared Charters, wakeboarded at Keys Cable Park, fed and petted the stingrays at Aquarium Encounters, ate delicious seafood at Herbies, and took a day trip to Key West. A perfect trip. We'll be back!!

Great stay with outstanding views!

We loved our stay and would stay again! Pros: it’s clean, laid out well, the pool, kayaks, hot tub and outside amenities were amazing. The property manager was responsive and helpful. The fishing was good on the canal and we caught enough for two meals. The sunrise views are beautiful! Things to note: it is lovely but dated so if you’re looking for modern, this isn’t your place. Some of the screens don’t work properly on the sliders so when I wanted to open them to let in fresh air, we couldn’t open all of them. The only lock to the house is a door at the bottom of the stairs that leads up to the 2nd story deck. The “door” to enter the house off the deck is a slider that doesn’t lock. Also, unlike some other houses we have stayed in around the Keys, there is no locking gate to get into the yard. None of these really bothered us but it’s always better to understand what the experience will be like in case things like this concern you. All in all, it was a great stay and definitely deserving of 5 stars!!

Being semi-retired and having Ann as our Property Manager has allowed us more time with our 10 grandchildren, ages 10 to 18 years old. Our three daughters and sons-in law all live 15 minutes from our home in Tennessee, so it is always filled with happy chaos!

Why they chose this property

We chose our vacation home in Marathon for many reasons. We have always loved the beauty and uniqueness of the Florida Keys. After deciding, in 2000, to purchase a vacation rental home, Marathon was our first choice. This ocean front home with a deep water canal to the Atlantic, was the perfect choice; going out on the boat, fishing blue water or bay water, snorkeling, or diving. The ocean view from the deck is a wonderful place to relax, be with family and friends and grill fresh seafood. Local fish markets have an ever changing selection based on what their boats have brought in that day!
