Wyatt House – Central Georgian Townhouse with Courtyard

Summary:
This contemporary, exceptionally stylish, period house with two bathrooms and original features adding character throughout is a rarity in the city centre — the entire house to call your own!

LIVING SPACE
With large sash windows, original shutters and classic Georgian woodwork, the spacious, stylish living space comes complete with a selection of classic books, travel guides, vinyl records and board games to keep you occupied — as well as a unique hideout for the kids with their bunk beds tucked away behind folding doors!

KITCHEN
Overlooking the courtyard, the light and airy kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer as well as the basics to welcome you including tea and coffee. Spacious enough to prepare your meals, enjoy your morning coffee or make a well-earned G&T after a hard day’s sightseeing...

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The master bedroom is finished in modern, muted tones for a great night’s sleep, with a comfortable double bed and period features bringing a unique Georgian character to the room. The second bedroom is tucked away on the lower ground floor with two single beds and crisp bed linen, whilst the kids can enjoy scaling the heights of the bunk bed in the third bedroom, located just off the living room.

The house boasts two elegant bathrooms with modern features; one shower room and one luxurious bathroom featuring a generous roll top bath with views over the beautiful city of Bath.

OUTSIDE
A private courtyard comes equipped with table and chairs for a spot of alfresco dining in the summer months.

During your stay you will have the entire place to yourselves but our Superhost, Chris is only a phone call away if you need anything at all!

The house is owned by Dom and hosted by Chris who takes care of the day to day management. Chris is based locally and always on hand to help.

Wyatt House is just off Landsdown hill in the heart of the city. Walk just 12 minutes to reach the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, and the Pump Room Restaurant. The Royal Crescent and Victoria Park are even closer, as are the Theatre Royal and a cinema.

The house is about a 20-minute walk from Bath Spa train station and the main bus station. We would recommend that you take a short taxi ride to the house, or the number 6, 6A or 7 bus from the bus station, if you don't fancy the walk or you have heavy bags.

Due to the central location, unfortunately the property doesn't come with an allocated space or permit. If you're looking for a car park, we would recommend Charlotte Street long-stay (postcode: BA1 2NE). There are always spaces available and it's monitored by cameras. The cost is currently £15 for 12 hours, £30 for 48 hours, but please double check this. The maximum stay is 7 days (you can pay for your parking at the machines or online at MI Permits website or app). Otherwise we would suggest coming by train, where possible.

The White family purchased the house for its close proximity to the city centre and it’s charming character – it’s really rare to come across a quaint house like this in a city full of tall buildings! We believe the house was built around 1780 and may have been a shop but sadly there is very little known about the property. Many original features such as the mouldings and window shutters are original. The family regularly use the house when they visit Bath but they welcome visitors to enjoy their little hideaway. We hope that you will enjoy the house and Bath as much as we do!
