Superbly converted farm building and well equipped (& internet connected) property that offers privacy and a great open plan social space. Outstanding location from which to enjoy the tranquil countryside. Lots of walking opportunities from the doorstep. A fab stay capped off by a guided tour of the cows being milked. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful.

Fabulous barn with great facilities
We had a three night stay in the Cider press at the end of March and were all very impressed with the layout and the quality of the whole place.
My 87 year old mother wants to visit again in the Autumn. Thank you for the additional pan and trays requested to do a special dinner on the Saturday night.

A lovely cottage in a peacefull and charming location
The owners Graham and Pamela were very kind with us and we have appreciated the homemade scones and butter at our arrival. The lodging was exactly as expected. A large kitchen area with plenty of equipments to really start cooking like at home. The three rooms were very comfortable to have quiet nights. The house is just centrally located between the Jurassic coast of the Dorset, the nice red cliffs of the Devon and at 1 hour of the sea cliffs along the Bristol channel. A long walk of one day is also possible starting from the farm to enjoy the landscapes and hills along the Dalwood valley. Indeed a nice stay there. So you feel at home even if you're home is far away (8 hours of travelling by car).

Thank you so much it was great meeting you, and so pleased you enjoyed your holiday
We have just returned from a week at the Cider Press, Hawley Bottom. The building is just lovely, with all the home comforts you could wish for. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, although the narrow lanes need to be taken with care. It's about half an hour to the coast and there are some lovely walks near to the cottage. The hosts, Pamela and Graham, are very welcoming. We would certaihnly recommend it.

My only complaint was there were scones and jam and cream waiting for us so that was my diet ruined !!!
Would happily go again and highly recommend it.

Thank you Astrid, it was lovely meeting you and the family. Hope you will make a return visit sometime.
My family and I stayed at the Cider Press for a week in July. The property is well appointed, comfortable and clean. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival and a nice cream tea and flowers were there to greet us. The locatin of the property is great, with many walking options availalbe, inlcuing to the local village that has a really good pub with excellent food. The location is also a good one for exploring the South West, with beaches and many places of interest within 1/2 hour's drive.
Overall, we all really enjoyed our time here and would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful and enjoyable break.

A superior stay!
We had an absolutely wonderful visit at Pamela and Graham's beautiful cottage. Communications with our hosts were excellent throughout the reservation process. The Cider Press cottage has been beautifully restored, and is very comfortable and very well equipped for a stay of any length. Our hosts were very congenial and took time to explain the operations of their farm - we learned a lot about sheep farming. Visiting with the newborn lambs was an unexpected treat, and a unique experience. The proximity to the Jurassic Coast and the Devon and Cornwall countryside made the cottage an ideal location for our visit. A thoroughly enjoyable visit!

Comfy, cosy - a home from home and ideally situated
We loved every minute of our stay in this beautifully converted barn.
Situated on a working farm, which was nestled in the heart of the East Devons Countryside, it was ideally situated for daily excursions to many of Devons popular country and coastal beauty spots.
Spotlessly clean, the lovely owners, Graham and Pam had provided everything you could possibly need, with a welcoming cream tea waiting for us on our arrival.
We cant wait to visit again, and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to escape from it all and experience the peace, tranquility and quiet beauty of the English countryside.

Beautifully appointed.
The property is in a wonderful location. We needed two bathrooms, there are few properties that offer that option. We would not only choose it based on that criteria now. It is a very comfortable, high quality property. It would be a go to and recommended to anyone we knew who is visiting the area. The cream tea and vase of roses was an added touch that make us feel welcome. We highly recommend it.

Everything you want from a holiday cottage.
The cottage was beautiful and the surroundings quiet and picturesque. The owners, Pamela and Graham, were very welcoming and friendly. The village of Dalwood near to the cottage is to be found down narrow country lanes but is within walking distance of Hawley Farm. We would thoroughly recommend it as a base to explore nearby attractions such as Lyme Regis, Beer , Branscombe and Sidmouth.

Beautiful cottage in a tucked away location
We visited in February 2017 half term for a quiet week to relax. Our hosts were extremely welcoming, greeting us on arrival with a cream tea and a bottle of wine in the fridge. From the start they ensured that we had everything we needed for a perfect stay which exceeded our expectations by a mile and our daughter was able to join Pamela and Graham milking.
The cottage is sparklingly clean, modern inside and equipped to an extremely high standard, lovely and warm with a log burner and under floor heating and fresh flowers were provided in all the rooms. The bedrooms are fabulous: beautiful furniture, comfortable beds, quality bed linen and televisions. The bathrooms are super with an en-suite wet room and a family bathroom with heated towel radiators and towels provided by the hosts. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and in addition there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The living area is extremely comfortable and the view from the living area across the countryside is wonderful.
We had a wonderful week which was made so, not just by the 5* accommodation but by the hosts who went that extra mile to ensure that our stay was perfect.
We would recommend highly and hope to return many times.
