This ideally located farmhouse is open and airy with plenty of room inside and out. This house has 3 bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms. A spacious kitchen is equipped with all new modern stainless steel appliances. An 8ft farmhouse table in the dining room provides enough room for everyone to eat together. The living room offers lots of comfortable seating to sit back and relax and a large bay window to enjoy the view outside.

Outside, sit back and take in the views from one of the seating areas on the wrap around porch. Or enjoy the large deck with a grilling area, patio furniture, a large farmhouse table and firepit. The house sits on 2 acres of land, giving you plenty of room for outdoor activities. A large driveway provides ample parking for boats, trailers, and extra vehicles.

Beautiful historic farmhouse in a scenic location, close to Traverse City Horse Show grounds. The house is very well stocked with anything you might need. I had some issues using the lock on the door, but the host was very responsive and helpful throughout our 3 week stay. There’s no central AC, which scared me because I’m from Las Vegas, but the window units kept the house comfortable during some pretty hot and humid days in July. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Reunion Stay

We were in Elk Rapids for a family reunion and 10 of the 38 of us booked this VRBO. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Between my family and my cousin's family we had 4 kids and a dog. All five of them LOVED running around the orchards. The long dining table was perfect for meals and games. The kitchen had everything we needed, and cupboard space for our food. We are so grateful for Carla allowing some other family members to camp on the lawn last minute. My aunt and uncle who were hosting at their house came down with covid the day everyone was driving up and flying in. We had a quick scramble to find a place for some people to stay and we are grateful for the accomodations of our host. My only feedback would be a sliding barn door on the bedroom downstairs and more spoons! Lol! We had a lot of coffee drinking and cereal eating. Again, perfect place for my family!

Perfect End to Summer

Comfortable and clean farmhouse on an orchard, pet friendly but clean and hair free throughout. Located ten minutes from hiking and East Bay beach, 10 minutes from Elk Rapids, 15 minutes from Traverse City. Noting no central AC so upstairs bedrooms may become hot during warmer months - not an issue for us when weather was in 70s!

Great spot on a cherry orchard!

Perfect place for us and our dogs. Great space indoor and out. We made use of the BBQ and the kitchen most days. Loved the local area and easy access to Traverse City.

At Home while Away

This house worked out great for the 10 of us - Adults and Children. There is plenty of room inside and out. Surrounded by orchards - quiet and relaxing. Even though it's in a rural location it's just a few short minutes from lakes, beautiful beaches, cute little towns and Traverse City. We really appreciated the well stocked cabinets from the spices down to the storage containers. Thanks for a great stay!

Feels like home

We had a fantastic stay at this property! We were visiting for my mother’s 90th birthday and a wedding. This home has such a wonderful feel, we felt like we were at home every time we walked in. The kitchen had everything we needed and with the extra refrigerator in the garage we were able to help store food to take to the parties. The kitchen was perfect for my daughter to bake dozens of cookies and froze dough for family members. The grounds were beautiful and we loved the wraparound porch. We didn’t get a chance to use the back patio but it had wonderful seating and a large table. The seating in the large family room was fantastic and so comfortable. The long dining table had ample seating as well. There were 8 of us and the house never felt crowded even when family came over to visit. We will definitely stay there again. Loved it!!

Adorable Farmhouse

We stayed at the property for a bachelorette party and the house is adorable. It is an updated farmhouse which sits on a beautiful orchard. There was plenty of space for the seven of us who stayed and is a short 15-20 min drive into Traverse City. I wish the hot tub could have been used, but otherwise, the house had everything we wanted.

2nd time at this wonderful property

We stayed at this beautiful home 2 years ago and again last week. Our stay included our two daughters and their spouses and 4 dogs. I can't begin to describe how much we enjoyed our respite from Chicago. We cooked every night and had all the dishes, pots and utensils we needed. The outdoor area is wonderful and we enjoyed letting our dogs off leash. There was enough room to set up a badminton/volleyball net and we made s'mores every evening. Beds are very comfortable and there were plenty of towels. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are air conditioned and if we had any request it would be to put an air conditioner in the 3rd bedroom. It was very uncomfortable sleeping in that bedroom since it was hot when we were there. The location of the property is perfect. We were able to go into Traverse City easily and Elk Rapids is very close by. We went to the beach and played tennis in Elk Rapids and it was a dream to be able to get on the tennis courts without a wait. Carla is very responsive to all of our questions and requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Williamsburg and would happily return.

Would have been 5 stars if the house had blinds/shades.

My group and I had a fantastic time staying here. The house was very clean and well equipped with household items and cleaning supplies. They even had an ample supply of face masks, disinfectant and hand sanitizer. Our only complaint is that there were no shades or blinds on the main floor. Anybody driving past could see in which did not sit well with my group. Other than that we had a fantastic stay.

Fabulous Farmhouse!

Beautiful farmhouse! Beautifully decorated and well-appointed with essentials needed for cooking in the large kitchen. Perfect size for a much anticipated family getaway with husband, son, daughter-in-law and daughter, son--in-law and two grandkids. Downtown Elk Rapids close by and a nice drive to Traverse City! Carla, property owner, was very responsive and helpfuI. I highly recommend this beautiful place and hope to visit again!

Traverse City Vacation

The house and property were lovely, clean and well located. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The house was big enough for two families (4 adults and 5 kids). Close to Traverse City and Torch Lake. We also took a day trip to Mackinac Island.

Charming Farming House

I selected this property because the house looked spacious and uncluttered and the yard looked like a good place for children to play. Those are accurate descriptions after our stay but I would also add charming. We had six adults, three young children and four dogs. We cooked most of our meals at the farm house and the kitchen had everything we needed. I chose the qualities of the house over the location and was concerned that I would regret not being closer to Traverse City. The location turned out to be perfect for us. Elk Rapids is quite close. There is a beach in Elk Rapids along with places to get groceries, a bakery, farmers market, restaurants, etc.. The drive to Traverse City was not bad at all. If we decide to go back to the area I would definitely see if this house is available.

This review is way over due. We stayed there at the end of August for 5 days. We were a party of 6 adults and 4 dogs. I did not know what to expect since we've never stayed in a VRBO home before and I am very picky. The home was welcoming, clean, comfortable and equipped with every kitchen appliance one would need. The beds had duvet covers, closets were large, the furniture lovely and comfortable. We loved the big farm house table and used the bbq every evening. This home was everything I could ask for in a rental and would certainly go again.

Lovely clean farmhouse

The house was very clean and well prepared. I loved that the kitchen was well stocked with many dishes and pots/pans. There was several outdoor seating areas that we loved.
