Great place to spend a family Christmas. There were 10 of us including 2 young children and a wheelchair user and we still had plenty of room. Outside space perfect with lovely views of the castle which was lit up at night.

It’s our 4th visit to Scalby lodge but our first time in the Barn.
It’s our 4th visit to Scalby lodge but our first time in the Barn.Lots of space and good size rooms but starting to get a little shabby in places (chipped paint).Kitchen and bathrooms equipped with most things ( particularly love the shower gel and shampoo) but if you’re having a bath rather than a shower the toiletries are too high up on the wall to reach.Generally the pros outweigh the cons
