About this property
Victorian Garden Apartment in London Fields
Nestled on a quiet residential street in the coolest area of London lies our Victorian garden apartment just seconds away from trendy London Fields.
Comprising 2 spacious bedrooms (as well as a double sofa bed in the lounge), a wellness room, living room, dining room, kitchen, family bathroom and south-west facing garden, this tranquil apartment provides the perfect oasis in the heart of London’s creative district.
The apartment includes a fully-functioning galley kitchen with a breakfast bar and all modern appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, Italian Moca Pot and milk foamer (essential!), washing machine, gas-burner, oven and everything in-between to enjoy delicious meals if you choose to eat at home.
The living room looks out to the sun-filled garden and our Thai floor cushions are the ideal way to stretch out and unwind.
The Japanese-inspired dining room provides the perfect setting for a beautiful meal with skylights above and connected by double French doors leading into the patio garden. We grow fruit, vegetables and herbs in the garden and if you wander to the back patio, you’ll find a secret swing next to a piece of art by a famous street artist.
Adjacent to the lounge is an internal space that we have converted into a wellness room, ideal for yoga, meditation or as a cool, quiet space to disconnect.
A SONOS sound system throughout the apartment facilitates your chosen soundtrack and a host of musical instruments are yours to play.
The spacious family bathroom has a huge tub to soak in after a long day and the vintage cranked shower mixer adds an aire of period drama!
The master bedroom is very spacious and minimal utilising open storage solutions. The original Victorian bay windows overlook the front patio and garden.
Hackney Central train station is 6 minutes walk and will take you east or west while Hackney Downs, an 8-minute walk, will take you north or south. There are buses at the end of the street that will take you to most places including a direct line to central London in around 20 minutes and there are e-bikes and e-scooters that you can rent on our doorstep.
London Fields is best known for its bakeries, breweries, coffee shops, pop-ups, food scene, live music, markets and thriving art community. From the famous Broadway Market to the heated outdoor lido at the end of our road, there is no shortage of activities and adventures waiting for you on your doorstep.
“We love being able to stroll just three minutes to the outdoor lido for a morning swim, before treating ourselves to a coffee and fresh pastry from one of the local bakeries. There’s so much to see and do right on the doorstep, and with two nearby train stations and hire e-bikes, exploring the rest of London couldn’t be easier.”

We’re Matt and Vrinda, and we’ve been passionate about home sharing since the early days of peer-to-peer travel. Long before it became mainstream, we loved the idea of swapping homes and experiencing places like locals rather than tourists. Some of our favourite travel memories have come from staying in other people’s homes, and we’re delighted to now offer the same experience to others.
When we’re not travelling, we love making the most of our neighbourhood – morning swims at the nearby lido, great coffee, live music, independent restaurants and long walks through the local parks. We hope our home gives you the chance to experience London Fields the way we do.
We take great pride in our home and genuinely enjoy sharing it while we’re away. We want every guest to feel welcomed, comfortable and at home from the moment they arrive.
Why they chose this property
We chose London Fields because it offers the best of both worlds. It has a genuine village feel, with a strong sense of community where neighbours know each other and local events bring people together, yet Central London is only minutes away.
We love the area’s creative energy – independent cafés and bakeries, live music, galleries, markets and small businesses give it a character that’s hard to find elsewhere.
It’s a place where there’s always something happening, but it still feels relaxed, friendly and safe. Whether you’re enjoying a picnic in the park, exploring Broadway Market, or simply wandering the surrounding streets, there’s a unique atmosphere that makes people fall in love with the neighbourhood.
What makes this property unique
Our home combines peaceful, design-led living with one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. Tucked away on a quiet residential street with London Fields at the end of the road, it feels like a calm retreat while everything you could want is just a short walk away.
We recently completed a full renovation in a warm Japandi style, creating a space that’s minimalist yet cosy, spacious yet inviting. One of our favourite features is how the dining area and second bedroom both open directly onto the private garden, making the indoor and outdoor spaces feel beautifully connected.
It’s a home designed to be lived in and enjoyed - thoughtfully curated, comfortable and quietly luxurious, without ever feeling formal or pretentious.
