We are so glad you enjoyed the house and your Labor Day hike! Come back soon!
We loved our time at this beautiful cabin. We wanted to be off the beaten path and this was a great location with easy access to Grand Lake, but also a secluded feeling. We made some great family memories on this trip and were very thankful to stay in this gorgeous location .

Lovely house and beautiful setting. Major common area faces west, as does the deck, which is amazing but the sun does beat down -- would be even better with some umbrellas as it was hard to enjoy the deck in the afternoon sun, and the living room gets super hot too. Similarly, morning sun into the master bedroom is lovely but more shades would be welcome. Nicely stocked with spices, coffee filters, dish soap etc. Read your checkin instructions before you get to the front door! as you won't have service for the 5 miles or so from the main road.
We chose this location because we wanted a chance at a white Christmas and to see some moose, and we got both. We stayed the week of Christmas and the snow was pretty light but we got a light dusting every day. We saw eight moose while we were here, two mother calf pairs in RMNP and a group of four bulls in a field just a few miles from the house. The cleanliness of the house was just ok. It’s unfortunate that the dining table does not seat eight, since the house sleeps eight and that’s how many were in our party. So we could not all eat dinner together. The house served its purpose as a good location to hang out and explore the area.

Fabulous Home!!!
Gregg and Holly were extremely easy to work with and helpful as we planned our Rocky Mountain getaway. The home was modern and beautiful. We traveled with another family and we all (including the two 11 year olds and two 13 year olds:-) had a fabulous time seeing the wildlife and experiencing the area.
The kitchen had everything we needed and it was so nice to have the washer and dryer during the week. We were just about 15 minutes from the entrance to the park where there were were guided ranger programs and some of Rocky Mountain National Park's best hikes. Our favorite hike was up Mt. Ida. The views are breathtaking. It was so nice to be at the quiet entrance to the park (west entrance). Even in the month of July, we didn't have crowds or lines.
We did a guided fly fishing trip through Winter Park Flyfisher and an ATV adventure to the top of the Continental Divide with Grand Adventures Snowmobile and Off-Road Tours. And after all of the activity...it was such a pleasure to spend our evenings out on the deck looking over the lovely valley. A true vacation. Thank you Gregg and Holly!!!

Janine-we are so happy you all enjoyed the house and that you had a wonderful vacation in Colorado! It was a pleasure to have you. Come back anytime!
I questioned whether the property was cleaned between rentals. Initially we were greeted by stains on the stairwell carpet, filthy cold air returns, smudges all over sliding glass doors, patio furniture misplaced, decorative pillows askew, dirty stove, freezer, a very dirty kitchen sink, floors that looked less than freshly cleaned. As time continued we found moldy laundry from the last guest in the washer, a tub that was brown with a very slow drain, orange mold on the shower curtain, a BUNCH of nuts/debris between the couch cushions. Then on our final night when hand washing dishes as I had done the entire stay, happen to open the dishwasher and found the previous guest dishes. The condition of the house was unacceptable. Reported it to the owners and while they initially acted very concerned, did not follow up with us as promised. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it if you looking for a relaxing vacation.

We take great pride in our home and making sure our guests enjoy our home as much as we do. This is our first negative review. You stayed at our home for five days without any complaint. After your five- day stay, you called, stating the house had significant problems, including even that you stayed in beds that were not cleaned after the prior guest. This was simply not credible. After we spoke, we promised to investigate, starting by asking you to send the pictures you stated you had. When you sent them, I asked for the date stamp. When you advised you took pictures the day you left (after five days without any complaint) of claims of unclean dishes, floors, showers, you gave no information regarding the condition of the property when you arrived. Even then, I asked other guests and our hard working cleaning crew. They did not support your story, with the exception that the rug had some dirt spots someone tracked in. I told you we had shampooed the carpets ourselves the month before. Had you advised us when you arrived regarding the carpets, we could have had them spot cleaned and addressed your concerns. We are reminded you were displeased we could not accommodate an early check in request. We do try to accommodate, when able.
Our group really enjoyed spending time here. The house is as described and a was nice place to spend the holidays. Holly was super helpful as we were trying to leave after a snowy night. She contacted the county and they made it possible for us to be on our way.
We loved the quiet location while still being close enough to visit the park and all the local trails. The owners were great to work with and provided answers to all of our questions and even suggested restaurants and activities. The home is spacious for for a family to spread out for privacy but still spend quality time together. We spent every evening on the deck and had everything we needed to cook most meals on site. Great place to stay with excellent hosts. We left an item behind and they contacted us right away and shipped it to us. Highly recommend.
This home is just as beautiful in real life as it is in the photos. The huge front porch faces west and it the perfect spot to watch the sun go down over the mountains. It is serene and quiet, and perfect for those looking to get away. Every aspect of the home itself is as described by the owners. We found it to be neat and clean, well-furnished, and extremely comfortable. The house is located just miles from RMNP, so after a long day of hiking it's just a short drive back to the comforts of this home. We would stay here again without hesitation.
A family trip for 6 adults, this was a wonderful home! There was ample space for each us to have privacy, bedrooms and space as needed. Even my elderly parents (capable of handling steps to the main floor/living space) did well staying in the basement level bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare daily meals. It was beautiful waking up to birds singing, the brook babbling, and sun peeking through the windows. The landscape is simply gorgeous. Deer, fox, hawks and lots of birds entertains us at the cabin. We experienced a couple of storms with low cloud cover which was a neat experience to watch roll in as well. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, as well as driving to the nearby reservoir, Lake Granby, Grand Lake, RMNP and more. Such a wonderful "homebase" for our CO summer vacation. We appreciate the hospitality and comfort offered by this beautiful home!
Beautiful setting, away from the "crowd" in Grand Lake. Bedroom layout allowed 3 families to have alone time when it was needed.
Kitchen/living room was successfully employed for "whole team" dining, discussion, relaxing, and lifelong memory creation.
Great home and location for family with college students
We loved our stay at this cabin! There was 8 of us - my husband and I, my parents and our college aged daughters plus 2 friends. We had plenty of room! The cabin is tucked away in a beautiful area, a couple miles off main road in a neighborhood, but still private. The area was included with the fire in October 2020 and you can still see burned out trees but it has also lent itself to some of the most beautiful wildflowers I’ve ever seen! The valley in front of the cabin is full of flowers and we’d often see deer grazing there. The cabin comes fully equipped - pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices, coffee maker, washer/dryer, plenty of towels. We cooked most meals and never didn’t find what we needed. The area was perfect for us. We had our side by side and found lots of trails close by to ride. We rode, we fished, we hiked and all was within an hour. Our favorite spots were Monarch Lake, Adams Falls and riding through Arapaho state park. For food, Sagebrush in Grand Lake was pretty tasty and had some interesting choices of meat. Best breakfast was Fat Cat Cafe in Granby. Loved this cabin so much we’re already trying to figure out when we can do this again!
We loved everything about the property. The kids loved the proximity to hiking at RMNP and horseback riding at Snow Mountain Stables. Mom loved the front deck and the hummingbirds that would come visit as she had her morning coffee. My wife and I enjoyed the upstair suite to ourselves. Our only complaint is that we never got to see the bear from the pictures, which honestly I wasn’t sure I wanted to meet as I took the garbage out. Everything was wonderful
