We loved this place. The views from the beautiful balcony were unbelievable - the ocean, fields of cows and majestic white horses grazing. We loved being just outside of town, with restaurants and pubs a very easy walk away. It was peaceful but very close to all the action. Would absolutely, unquestionably stay again.

What an incredibly clean, comfortable, and LOVELY property. We had every amenity we needed and the view was glorious! It was impeccably clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We thoroughly loved our time here. It was centrally located to much we wanted to see all along the Wild Atlantic Way. We never needed to drive more than an hour or 2 in any direction to see some of the most breathtaking places. Thank you for allowing us to call your place home for the 10 days we stayed in beautiful Lehinch.

Great place to stay.

This house was great. Enough room for us to spread out and close enough to the restaurant and sites.

Lovely place. Well appointed for vacation rental (though a coffee maker would have been lovely). Bedrooms very nice. Whole place clean.Very hot when the sun shines because of the large but beautiful windows.

Great Stay in Lahinch

We were 3 couples travelling Ireland. The Cregg Beach house was a launch point for touring around Lahinch. Very glad we chose this property. It was roomy, clean, bright, quiet and comfortable. The property is an easy 4 minute drive into town for dinner, or to stop at Ireland's best bakery (Hugo's). The property management was very responsive and helpful. A hidden gem of this property is its patio, with great views of the Atlantic ocean and beautiful livestock pastures. The property management provided great directions to the property. The only (very minor) suggestion we have is for management to provide a diagram for all the switches and what appliances and lights they control. For us Americans, it was confusing at first. We've stayed at a number of VRBO properties and highly recommend this one.

Gorgeous view

The property is gorgeous. Clean, new and everything in working order. The view from the living area was perfect. We were very jet lagged on our arrival day and were more than happy to sit in and look at the views. There is a road directly in front of the house. You can hear the cars but you cannot see them so it does not interfere with your views and we didn’t mind it at all. The property is about a mile into Lahinch and there is a pavement all the way if you want to walk. Communication from the property managers before arrival was excellent. Lahinch is a nice little town with plenty of food options. If you want to try surfing this is a great place to take lessons. I highly recommend a walk along the promenade. When the tide is out you can continue on the beach for about 30 minutes. Great way to clear jet lag! Lahinch is a great location for exploring The Burren. The Cliffs are about 15 minutes away. You can drive yourself and park at the visitor Centre (15 euros each) or you can take the free shuttle from Lahinch (which I believe gets you into the cliffs for free). I highly recommend Caherconnell ring fort and sheep dog demonstrations. They also have a nice cafe and shop. Also recommend the tea rooms in Ballyvaughan. Great trip to the Burren and we would absolutely book this property again!

Comfortable but not convenient

The directions were incorrect; just past trailer park on the left, not the right. Made it difficult to find. The gate to enter the area was broken. One door was permanently open and the code did not work for the other door. We had to leave the car outside and carry our luggage in past about 8 houses. The directions said there are no numbers on the houses. Look for the blue door. Multiple houses had blue doors. When we finally got in, we found the fob for the gate and tried to get the car in. But the fob did not work either. The house is sparsely furnished but what is there is comfortable. The stools were too high for the counter so not usable. Appliances were not turned on so we could not use the refrigerator the first day. In general, not ready for guests.

Hi Jason, We are very sorry about your stay. We will look into all your issues and suggestions asap. We wish we had known you had issues with the gates, we could have come to help. We've been renting this house for about 5 years now, and we have never had any complaints about the furniture or decor. We feel that the pictures are very true to the house, so there should be no surprises. Hopefully we get to welcome you again sometime.

The view and the space is the stand out at this property. Unassuming and surprising , this house offers ample space for a family. The beds are comfortable and each room comes with its own en suite. Regrettably, there is no outdoor seating to enjoy the view that you can’t look away from. For travelers in the warmer summer months, the abundance of windows and limited options to open them, combined with a lack of ac or fans means it gets uncomfortably warm in the afternoons. Overcome by leaving all windows and doors open during the day but not ideal. The biggest drawback to this property is the hygiene. Used dirty sponge in the kitchen, stains on the sofa, dead flies on the window sills, broken dryer rack and dirty toilet seat in the master bathroom was a disappointment. Again overcome by diligent guests who don’t mind cleaning themselves but something for the mgt company who owns this property to address. This property has the potential to be exceptional. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review. We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the space, the views, the comfortable beds and the en-suite rooms, and that you would consider coming back. We were honestly quite surprised by the comments around cleanliness, as we very rarely receive complaints of this nature and cleanliness is something we take seriously. That said, we’ll certainly raise the points mentioned with our cleaning and management team and make sure everything is being checked as it should be. On the temperature, air conditioning and fans aren’t something you would normally find in Irish homes, as our climate traditionally hasn’t required them. However, with summers becoming noticeably warmer and temperatures reaching levels we’re not used to, we do appreciate that this may be something we need to look at going forward. We’re pleased that you still enjoyed your stay overall and would return, and we really appreciate the feedback.
