Another lovely stay in this fab cottage in Middleham

Our second visit in three months. Feel so at home here and have learnt more about the town, not village as I was told by the lady ( Angie) in the antique shop . All the enjoyment of a small town with Leyburn minutes away for a larger selection of shops etc

A pleasant stay at Briar cottage

In over 50 years of self catering cottages this has to come close to 1of the best, clean very well equipped and of good quality ,location perfect the front view with horse going to gallops the back with jasmine bush and sweet private hedge a real sun trap and the weather fantastic which comes down to luck ,would we visit again YES

The cottage was lovely surprise. It was indeed a small cottage with a big welcome.the beds were very comfortable, and it was lovely to be woken up by the horses each morning

Lovely cottage

A cosy cottage with alle necessary comforts. We are already considering booking a longer stay next year. We have falen in love with The Yorkshire Dales and ... with Briar cottage.

Perfect location and cottage good for walking locally or travelling further afield in Dales. Outside seating lovely on warm evenings

Lovely place, easy parking off road. Nice to hear the horses clip clopping by on their morning walk to the gallops.

Stay in Middleham

I would highly recommend staying in briar cottage good location right opposite the castle near to all amenities. Always spotless pet friendly good facilities for use in the cottage comfortable beds I can't recommend this cottage enough stayed there last 4 years and will return next year

Briar Cottage April 2024

Lovely cosy cottage, very well appointed with quality furnishings throughout. Great location for country walks from the door and with local shop, pubs, tearoom and restaurant all a short walk away.

Excellent cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Middleham and are so glad we chose Briar Cottage. It felt spacious and had everything we needed. We slept so well - there were lovely pretty cotton duvet covers. It was so homely with lots of interesting pictures and objects. Parking was easily found and we appreciated being so near a shop and eating places. We would not hesitate to book again. Thank you.

Perfect place

The cottage was picturesque, and we'll furnished. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Overall the squeaky clean cottage, & the lovely sitting out areas, both front & back were well tended. We will certainly be back!

Cosy, well equipped centrally located cottage overlooking Middleham Castle

Our family of 4 and medium sized dog stayed here over October half term for 4 nights. We loved the location, centrally located in this lovely market town with so many beautiful sights to visit and walks from the doorstep. Pubs and shops within walking distance and a well equipped cottage with most appliances (just missing a dishwasher) and parking spot outside the door. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return one day.

Lovely cottagw

We had a great week in this clean, comfortable, cosy cottage. Middleham is a wonderful place to stay and this cottage is in a fantastic position. It’s well equipped and well maintained. We would definitely come back.

Middleham horse racing

As usual first class stay in briar cottage this is the 5th time staying here and would thourghly recommend staying here all facilities close by friendly people all in all a lovely experience will be booking again in November

Middleham break

I would thoroughly recommend Briar cottage and Middleham for a break/ holiday great location good value for money easy to book 1min walk from shop and pubs. Directly opposite Middleham Castle. I have now stayed 3 times at this cottage and can't recommend it highly enough
