SUPER HOST WITH A 5 STAR RATINGNOTHING WAS MISSING IN THE PROPERTY, A LOT OF THOUGHT HAS GONE INTO THIS RENTALEVEN DOWN TO THE BATH SALTS!! TOMATO SAUCE, ALL THE AMENITIES WERE PERFECT, PLUS A PUB RIGHT OVER THE ROAD. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR!!WOULDN'T HESITATE RECOMMENDING THIS PROPERTY AND I WILL BE RENTING AGAIN IN THE FUTUREOVERALL 5 OUT OF 5!!
We enjoyed a lovely three night break at Love Joy Cottage. It’s beautiful, really cosy and well equipped. The bedrooms are full of character, with gorgeous wallpapers, lots of cushions and throws. It suited our needs- three mums with our daughters, so one room per family. Although the children were fighting over the loft room! Crystal was excellent with her communication and clearly explaining the check in process. Embsay village is lovely and we took the Embsay to Bolton Abbey steam train one day which was great fun. Skipton is only a five minute drive away, very convenient. I highly recommend Love Joy Cottage for a place to stay.
Perfect location to explore the southern part of the Yorkshire Dales.
Lovely cottage with great pub literally over the road. Good food & ale & hospitality second to none.
Thank you Krystal for a wonderful stay.
We had a great weeks stay. The house is really comfortable and gorgeously decorated. We especially enjoyed the roll top bath and the fire! We also really enjoyed the pub literally opposite! Definitely would recommend!

Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m so glad you enjoyed your time with us in Embsay. Many thanks!
The property was clean and nice with a relaxing atmosphere. The location was excellent with a great pub right across the street and centrally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The property was as described with the exception of usable outdoor space and a grill. The balcony was closed due to needing repairs and there was no grill available. Parking was across the street in the community parking lot. It was free and generally had space available except in the afternoon when school let out and parents were picking up their children. The only problem we encountered was communicating with the host. She was traveling and VRBO missed sending the check-in email, so we could not access the property when we arrived. We could not get hold of the host via text or phone call. Fortunately the next door neighbor let us in after showing her our reservation. When there was a problem with the washer/dryer, it took over 24 hours for the host to respond. It would have been helpful if there was a local emergency contact.
The claw foot deep tub with relaxing bath salts was much appreciated after our wet weather walks.
The convenience of a proper pub literally across the street cannot be overstated. Folks were friendly and the dogs were even friendlier.

Hi Diana,
Im so glad you enjoyed your stay in our cottage in our lovely corner of the world. We hope to see you again some day, thank you!
We stayed at the lovely Lovejoy cottage while attending our daughter’s wedding down at Bolton Abbey. The details about the property were sent to us well in advance of our stay and check in was a very simple process. The cottage itself is well equipped and super clean, located opposite the local pub and within easy walking distance of Skipton.Even being opposite a quite busy pub the area is still very quiet. Definitely recommend
Great house in very convenient location close to Skipton but far enough out so you feel that you are still in the countryside. Superb decoration and furnishings with good sized rooms. Could do with some larger serving bowls and few basics like cooking oil & salt but other than that is highly recommended.Perfect for five people. Bolton Abbey, Hesketh Farm Park and Skipton itself all worth a visit and nearby. Friendly village with shop and two pubs in eady walking distance.
We wanted to stay longer! Setting is great and so close to Skipton, that is charming. The home looks likes it was decorated by a designer that specializes in coziness. The master bathroom is one of its best features. I don’t remember seeing pictures of it. You should add master bath pictures! Clean Too!
We found great evening walks too. We will be back!
