This was the most perfectly positioned courtyard dwelling in the centre of Grassington.It was well equipped and rooms were very comfortable.We had a little difficulty finding the entrance to the courtyard but Andrew was easily reachable by phone and guided us swiftly there.We then thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quintessentially English village and devoured the surrounding hikes.

The bathroom decor certainly has a wow factor with a good, powerful shower. The apartment was very clean on arrival. The bed was comfortable in the master bedroom. I can't comment on the other bedroom as my 4 year old niece slept in it. She seemed happy enough though. The living room is tiny and I very much doubt that 4 adults could be comfortably accommodated in it. We found that the sofa fits 2 adults and 1 very petite 4 year old. The 3 footed dining table is very unsteady at the end nearest the TV so we didn't use it after we discovered that. The oven took quite a while to heat up but was ok once it got to temperature and the hob was fine to cook on. We tend to cater for ourselves so this is definitely a valid point for us. Overall, the apartment is in a great location which is very quiet but only 1 minute from the main street. There are 2 flights of stairs to access the bedrooms. However, we already knew that so it was not an issue. Parking is a great plus point, particularly since it is directly outside the door. We would book again but not if there were more than 2 adults

We will give some immediate.attention to the dining table following your feedback. The lounge / dining room is a large room which perhaps feels smaller than it is because it is serving both the lounge and dining functions. The best way to accommodate four adults is to turn the comfortable upholstered dining chairs around to serve as lounge chairs as well as dining chairs. Thanks again.

Well equipped apartment in a quiet location close to the village centre.

Very relaxing holiday, no need to use the car once we'd arrived as there are plenty of walks from the door step with numerous pubs and cafés a short walk away.

Beautiful apartment /house

Great location with lots of walks on the doorstep and friendly pubs for that well earned pint at the end of the day. Easy to arrange booking communication with owners was always prompt informative and friendly.

Loved it!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Fern House. The property is perfectly located right in the centre of the village, with convenient parking right outside the front door. We would definitely stay again.

A Great Place to Stay for Hiking in Grassington

The property managers (Hazel and Andrew) provided not only great accommodations near the Square in Grassington, but also provided lots of information about things to do in the area. Further, they were very responsive to questions regarding their property.

Perfect holiday accommodation

Excellent location, with private parking space. Very comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space. Superb shower. Kitchen and lounge both very pleasant rooms with plenty of light from the large windows at the front of the property. Have stayed here before and would again.

Perfect holiday

Fern House is the perfect place to holiday. It was very clean and had everything needed for a pleasant stay in beautiful Grassington. The accommodation is right in the middle of the village so convient for all pubs, cafes etc. I would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for a wonderful break

Very clean, comfortable and well appointed.However …The steepness, and narrowness, of the 2 staircases compromised the ease with which they could be negotiated for those of us, of a “certain” age, with reduced stability on our feet especially carrying suitcases up and down.Management of the cooking stove could benefit with comprehensive operating instructions - similar to those provided for the washer - since functional symbols are not the same as those on our N. American ranges.Instructions of where to find and locate the bins, especially for collection, could be more definitive.I would recommend this VRBO without hesitation but with slight reservation.

Fabulous location!

I cannot fault this property at all! We stayed here around 5 years ago and couldn’t wait to return (unfortunately COVID prevented it being sooner)! The property is lovely, clean and cosy. Great location and only around 30 seconds walk from the village. Parking is a bonus. Highly recommended.

Perfect location

This was our second visit and will definitely be booking again. Lovely and clean and with everything you need in a perfect location with pubs, cafes, shops and lovely walks right on your doorstep. Very peaceful location, just what you need for a relaxing get away from it all. The main square is really pretty at night, all lit up if you fancy an evening stroll. Thank you Andrew and Hazel.

Cottage in Grassington

Nice location although small entrance for cars to courtyard . Outside area needs some upkeep and inside is a little tired although functional. Great Comms with owners who let us into the property early .

Fern Cottage is lovely...located in Grassington where All Creatures Great and Small is filmed...in the centre of this beautiful Dales Village it is quiet and convenient. Communication with the host was easy and timely. The cottage was clean and well presented and as described. We would highly recommend a stay to anyone wishing to explore this area.

Short Stay At Fern House

Superbly positioned accommodation just off the main square. Very well equipped and comfortable especially the main bedroom with its large bed and luxury covers - very cosy. Could have done with the heating staying on for an hour longer in the evening especially as it was Winter time.Highlight of the stay was dinner at No 5 Grassington House -wonderful food ,pleasant atmosphere and welcoming staff. The Fountaine Inn at Linton is a must place to visit and eat whether at lunchtime or evening. Highly recommend a stay at both Grassington and Fern House.

We're sorry we missed out on the top five stars we have received from our other guests perhaps because of your feedback about the heating. Just to clarify... the heating is programmed at 20 C until 11pm and then at 16 C overnight. We are happy to alter these settings, if guests phone or text us at the time, as we have HIVE wireless control. There is also a manual override control on the main landing of our apartment for guests to increase the temperature themselves. We hope that you will stay with us again and we will be able to set the controls for your personal requirements.

Amazing Stay in the heart of this wonderful village in a beautiful cottage.

This is a lovely cottage in the heart of Grassington. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was fully equipped everything you would need. Bed was so comfy and loved looking through the sky light at the stars. Lovely Bathroom! It was great to have a parking space and outdoor seats to sit in sunshine. We will be back. Lovely clean tidy apartment in a beautiful village

We had a lovely 4 day Break in Fern House in January.The apartment is very cosy and inviting a real home from home.Everything is there that you may need all kitchen appliances microwave, washing machine, dryer ,dishwasher etc. The village with its abundance of tea shop's , 3 pubs and a hotel with a "posh' restaurant and local shops are all within 100 metre's of Fern House. Grassington moor is just behind you with endless opportunities for some beautiful walks or go down by the river for a more sedate walk.Absolutely couldn't fault anything and the weather was fairly kind to us for January.We will definitely be coming back to Grassington and hopefully to Fern House.
