Boyne City House, Family Friendly, free wi-fi, walk to Downtown and public beach

Our lovely 2700 sq. ft. , two story home has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and sleeps 13 with free WI-FI. After we purchased our home in 2016 we updated all of the rooms. The house is a short 3 block walk to BC restaurants and shops and also a 3 block walk to Peninsula Beach public access for swimming or simply lounging on the beach. The house has been a very popular choice for families attending Weddings at Castle Farms, which is a short 25 minute drive away. The kitchen has all new stainless-steel appliances, the laundry room has a new washer and dryer, the master bedroom has beautiful new cottage style white furniture and the larger upstairs bedroom has 3 new full-size log style beds, a log dresser and nightstands as well. Our fenced backyard has a raised deck with patio table and 4 chairs while the lower paver patio has a propane grill, fire pit with 4 chairs. Basement was completely remodeled during winter of 2017 and includes a 50" flat screen TV and couch for TV watching, full size second refrigerator, professional grade pool table, foosball table and ping-pong table to entertain. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting on the swing on the front covered porch or on one of the Adirondack chairs. There is parking for 4 cars in the driveway on Park Street plus 4 additional cars or two boat trailers can be parked in the driveway off the alley in back yard. Downtown Boyne City's amazing restaurants and shopping are only a few blocks' walk from the house. And, we are 3 short blocks from Peninsula Beach, a lovely public beach with a playground, facilities and picnic tables. If you're a boater, you'll love Lake Charlevoix! The Harborage Marina as well as the Boyne City Municipal Marina are within walking distance and have slips available for rent. Boyne City has the largest farmer's market in Northern Michigan and operates every Wednesday and Saturday in Veteran's Park and there are usually two or three food trucks in attendance as well. "Stroll the Streets” is an every Friday evening event during the summer. The Main Street is closed to cars and there are bands, food stations, and other family friendly events.

Our family had such a great time here! The house was really comfortable with plenty of space for everyone to relax and visit with local family. We loved being able to walk to town for food, shopping and especially Stroll the Streets! Being so close to Avalanche Mountain was also awesome. The kitchen was stocked with lots of extras, which made cooking meals easy. My mom absolutely loved sitting on the front porch each day. The weather was perfect. Such a great spot! We’d definitely love to come back!

Perfect for golf weekend at Boyne Mountain

Great place to stay for a golf weekend at Boyne Mountain. We had 8 in our group and fit just fine. Pool table, ping pong, and foosball in basement were added bonus.

Boys’ Weekend

Everything was very clean and in good condition. Lots of areas throughout the house and outdoors to hang out. The basement game room area was especially fun. Love that it’s very close to downtown BC and the lake (less than 10 min walk).

Perfect House for Extended Family Vacation

Great location within a 5-10 minute walk of great restaurants and bars in Boyne City and a very clean public beach on Lake Charlevoix (which is a lot warmer than Lake Michigan). House listing was super accurate and the property owner was very accessible. Nice neighborhood.

Park Street gathering

Our family (9 of us from 3 generations) stayed at this property to attend a wedding at Walloon Lake Country Club. It was a great house. It was very clean and well supplied. I especially appreciated the high quality sheets. The basement has lots of entertaining games: pool, ping pong, foosball, beer pong, and Connect 4. Highly recommend staying here.

Relaxing retreat in Boyne City

Our family loved every minute of our vacation in this property. It was extremely clean and felt more like being in a friends’ home than a rental. It was apparent that the owners put their hearts into this home. The basement was a fun retreat after exploring the area all day. Amazing stay at large, beautiful home

We had a great experience with this rental and would definitely stay here again. Don has a very large and beautiful home that is great for a big group or family. We had a group of friends in town for a wedding nearby and we loved having the cozy common area, the game room downstairs, and the large backyard. Don was a great host and went out of his way to make sure we had a convenient and comfortable stay. Thanks for everything!

Great house, host, city, & vacation!

Don’s 518 S Park Street property is clean, well decorated, spacious, and very conducive to family time! We felt so “at home” in this house for our vacation week! You can walk to town in only a few minutes and Boyne City has a beautiful beach, great restaurants, nice pickleball courts, and a fun downtown area. Don was very helpful answering questions before we booked the house and after we booked about Mackinac Island, which is only an hour’s drive from the house. The home was well stocked with everything we needed and the game room in the basement is top-notch! We highly recommend this property and will want to stay there if we ever visit Boyne City again!!!

Wonderful! Perfect house!

My family really enjoyed staying at the house and especially loved the close proximity to the town. We felt safe too! A couple walked by while I was swinging on the porch swing with my grandchildren and commented that the house was beautiful. I immediately responded, “ Thank you very much!” as though I were the proud owner of the house! Enough said, I would definitely stay there again!

Great House!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very clean and beautifully decorated. All the bathrooms have been updated. Walking distance to town. There is a really nice game room in the basement. Nice outdoor space -private backyard with deck and patio with fire pit. Covered front porch with rocking chairs and a swing to relax and hangout. Host was extremely kind and helpful with recommendations on things to do and places to eat and shop. Will definitely stay again when in the area!

Another great week!

Our family enjoyed another great week in this beautiful home in Boyne City. We had seven adults and 3 children and there was always plenty of room for everyone to spread out plus a bed for everyone!!! The house is immaculate and stocked with everything you need. The game room downstairs is always a hit with our grandkids ..... and fishing at the pier followed by ice cream was a nightly event. Thanks Don and Karen for the opportunity to rent your lovely home again. We are already looking forward to next year!!

Perfect Once Again!

This was our third time to spend a week in this beautiful home in Boyne City and each time it gets better. The house is always super clean, has everything we could possibly need and a perfect layout for the 10 of us. This year we were surprised with a beautiful new fireplace in the living room, gorgeous updated bathrooms and a new ping pong table. The game room in the basement is the hit each year with the grandkids. The location is perfect. Lots of great restaurants in town, good fishing, and beautiful beaches and an easy drive to Petoskey and Charlevoix to hunt for Petoskey stones! Each year we find more to do and make more memories with our family. Thanks so much Don and Karen for sharing your lovely home!!

Boyne getaway

We had up to 11 people at the house, everyone commented on how awesome the home was. My wife and I were trying to find a way to move the mud/laundry room and kitchen to our home. Five stars all the way. In your description you mentioned there was additional parking in the alley. For the first couple of days their was a neighbors ( I think ) parked there and on most of the other days the alley was blocked ( sometimes both ways . You have a beautiful home and my 3 daughters and their familys are checking their schedules to see if we can possibly return next year.

Wow! What a great vacation!

Our family just finished a week’s stay in Boyne City at this beautiful vacation home. We just can’t say enough about how great it was. The owners were super to work with from start to finish. They were quick to answer any questions we had and sent out a great packet of information about the house and the area prior to our arrival. We had 7 adults and 3 kids (5, 9 and 10) at the house and it was perfect! It was super clean, beautifully decorated and very modern; made us feel right at home. Everyone had a comfy bed, no long waits for a bathroom, plenty of seating for dining or lounging in the evening. And there were plenty of TVs so no fights over who’s watching what. The kitchen is gorgeous and fully stocked with plenty of nice tableware and cookware and newer appliances that worked perfectly. After a busy day of beach time and exploring the area we could come “home” to relax in the lovely backyard on the deck or patio complete with gas grill and fire pit! Our kids favorite part of the house was the awesome basement. They spent every night (and daytime too when everyone was getting ready for the day) playing ping pong, pool and their number one favorite foosball! And every night there would be contests, kids verse adults, on every game table there. They loved it!! And at times it got very competitive! Boyne City is a really nice town. The pier was super for the kids to fish and the Friday night “ Stroll the Streets” was a nice family event to end our week. We ate at some really good restaurants and have quite a few more to try next time. It’s a fun day trip to Petoskey and Mackinac Island for some extra sights to see. We had a wonderful week and made lots of memories with the family. Can’t wait til next year. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great Home and Location

Awesome Stay!

Absolutely love this property and Boyne City. We have stayed multiple times and plan to stay in the future. The house comes as advertised. It is clean and in a super close location downtown.

Perfect Getaway

The house is perfectly done. Basement is a ball with pool table, ping pong and the works. Lovely front porch. Easy walk to the water and downtown. Will definitely use it again.

We live in Macomb County, which is north of Detroit. Our family loves to ski in the winter and boat in the summer.

Why they chose this property

We bought our Boyne City home in 2016 due to its ability to sleep 13 and its close proximity to down town. We have loved going there nearly every weekend in the winter to ski at Boyne Mountain. Boyne is a true 4 season town, sking in the winter, the Morel Mushroom Festival starts the Spring season, one of the best 4th of July celebrations in Northern Michigan, Friday Night "Stroll the Streets" festival every Friday night all summer long, Boyne Thunder Powerboat poker run in July. Tons to do and see. We love the house and Boyne City and hope you will too!

What makes this property unique

We love the house for so many reasons! It has so much room and we can bring friends every weekend to share in the fun. When we are done skiing, we love to walk to dinner in BC. There are so many great restaurants--but our kids especially like Lake Street Pub! And we're close to Boyne Mountain, Petoskey and Charlevoix. We've had so much fun updating the house and spending weekends and school vacations there.
