We stayed at Cedar Cottage for a long weekend in February. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and well located to be able to visit a number of places and attractions in the area. This was our first visit to The Cotswolds and we will definitely return, and would stay at Cedar Cottage again.

Cedar Cottage was just right for our short break. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The layout worked really well as we had 2 dogs with us. The utility room was a big asset.

Lovely house in the heart of the Cotswolds

Lovely little house, well equipped and comfortable. quite close to an industrial park and a main road but with the windows shut the noise from traffic was fine. The garden had limited furniture and would benefit from some more comfortable and substantial seating and a table. Finished to a high standard with all cooking essentials provided. Television tricky to operate with no instructions that we could find. Comfortable beds and nice linen, towels soft and fluffy. We would highly recommend as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. Booking process simple and efficient. Would consider returning. Thank you .

It’s a shame the bathroom issue it had a leak was not rectified before our stay as this was an issue weeks before but the cottage was great apart from that and location was ok to walk into bourton

Great for a weekend away

All good, Nice and clean, with everything we needed for the weekend. Location is OK - a 20 min walk into Bourton, but very convenient for Hawstone Brewery. Instructions and access were all straightforward too.

Lovely cottage very clean and spotless.

Everything about the cottage was perfect, just for us it was slightly out of way but that was because my husband had a hip replacement 4 months ago and was not 100%. Very spacious and well equipped.

Lovely house, 20 minutes walk into the centre which was perfect. Easy to walk dog in the area. Great to have 2 parking spaces. Beds very comfortable which made for excellent sleeping. Lovely walk to the Lower and Upper Slaughter villages which were beautiful- just be mindful there is about 50m on a footpath next to a busy road.

Autumn break

The house was well presented with ample room for 4 adults. Downside- grill was dirty, shower leaked in main bathroom, gate broken. The latter two issues had previously been identified in the guest book. Good location for touring the Cotswolds.

Wonderful stay, beautiful Cotswold home with all the comforts of home.

Lovely family home with everything you need for a long weekend stay. Beds are comfortable and location is quiet. Kids loved the games that were provided. Only negative is that the home is slightly further out of time than I thought so you have to have a car.
Response from VrboOwner on 26 Apr 2024
Thank you Kim for your review of Cedar Cottage. We are happy to hear that the property had everything you required for your weekend stay. Bourton on the Water is a steady 15 mins walk away from the property and a car is required to explore the surrounding places of interest in the Cotswolds. Stay at cedar cottage

This was a lovely house but although says Bourton it’s 1mile from town which meant driving and no taxis available due to Cheltenham festiva House for this reason would not be a first choice next time
Response from VrboOwner on 21 Mar 2024
Thank you Marian for your review of Cedar Cottage. We are delighted to hear that you found the property to be lovely. The village center is a 15-20 minute walk away as per the property listing confirms. Taxi's are hard to find in the Cotswolds and we always suggest prebooking to avoid disappointment. We do hope that you will be back to stay in the Cotswolds again soon!
