Short break in Drakes Nest

A very interesting house with parking in an excellent location between Exeter Street and Sutton Road so a short walk from the Barbican. Comfortable beds and minimalist style furnishings. We were lucky because the weather was warm and sunny.

Lovely property and Martin the host was very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. The property is in a great location for Plymouth City Centre being a 10 minute walk. Great to have a parking space right outside the property, but it would be a very tight fit if the other two car spaces are full. I drive a mini and it was tight getting through the gate as well. There were only two mugs in the cupboard and three bowls so although the kitchen is well equipped it could do with a bit of extra crockery if more than two people stay. There was also a lot of hair and grime in the drain of the bath, so when you shower the bath fills up with water. Again a very quick fix. The duvet covers had stains on as well and one of the beds in the twin room wasn't put together very well and was a bit concerning that it might collapse! Overall a great property which with a bit of attention to detail could be a much better experience.
