About this property

The Barn End Cottage

Barn End Cottage is a truly unique holiday retreat with a rich history as the former home and recording studio of the legendary band Hawkwind. Nestled just outside the village of High Bickington, Umberleigh, this cottage offers stunning countryside views and is perfect for families, groups, or couples, accommodating up to seven guests – and dogs are welcome too!

Inside, you'll find three cosy bedrooms, a recently refurbished kitchen with a brand-new gas oven, and an open-plan living area complete with a log-burning stove for those cosy evenings. The games room adds extra sleeping space with a huge sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two and includes a video arcade machine for entertainment.

Outside, the seven-person jacuzzi offers incredible views, making it an ideal spot to relax. There’s also a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. The garden features a fire pit, trampoline, and a charming treehouse nestled in an ancient oak tree.

For those eager to explore, we've mapped out a 3.5-mile circular pub walk that takes in three fantastic local pubs – laminated instructions are provided in the cottage. Golf lovers can enjoy the nearby Libbaton golf course, and there are plenty of welcoming pubs nearby.

Guests are greeted with local cider and homemade scones on arrival. We offer electric vehicle charging on-site and an office space for hire if needed.

What makes this property unique
