A magical experience surrounded by wonderful nature!

What a gem! Set in a really beautiful part of the Wirral, Thornton Manor was a delightful place for us to stay, most recently in July 2026. The cosy and comfortable property was well appointed and provided a perfect, tranquil environment. The facilities were excellent with everything you needed in the property to make the stay pleasant. The grounds are truly stunning with manicured lawns and hedges and wild areas where nature is prolific. The owner, managers and staff were very friendly.

Beautiful, peaceful setting

The Thatched cottage is set within the grounds of the estate, tooled quietly away from the main house next to a lovely little lake and overlooking the field. In the evening there is little light pollution so you can relax in the hot tub looking up at the sky, watch the pheasants and hares at dusk. It is a spacious lodge with large comfortable beds.

What can I say but wow it was amazing

We had thatched cottage with the hot tub it was brother two sisters and sister in law with the dogs and we all loved it we were blessed with the weather we took games and had an amazing time the cottage is like a tardis it’s huge inside and very comfortable the beds are amazing we will be back
