It’s called Canopo, and starting 1 September, 2023, you’ll be able to book this brand-new apartment in the heart of Alba’s historic centre.<br>It’s located inside Serendipity, a 19th-century building renovated according to a design focused on the highest level of living comfort. Restored historic walls, exposed wooden beams, bleached oak floors, and designer furniture and lighting.<br>Just a short walk from Piazza del Duomo, your holiday in the Langhe begins here.<br><br>The property<br><br>The apartments are located in a building in Alba’s historic centre, just a short walk from Via Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Risorgimento, where the Duomo is located.<br>The building, dating back to the mid-1800s, has been renovated using the latest techniques to offer guests the utmost in living comfort: optimal air quality with a VMC system for automatic air exchange, an air conditioning system with high heating and cooling capacity that operates extremely quietly (Vector Control technology), and complete thermal insulation of the building, which ensures greater thermal comfort, reduced humidity, and less noise pollution inside the apartments. <br>Construction was completed in July 2023, with meticulous attention to every detail—not only in terms of living comfort but also in terms of design and the quality of the furnishings and lighting.<br>Furthermore, the original stone and brick walls have been preserved on some of the apartment’s walls; when combined with the wooden ceiling featuring exposed beams, the bleached oak flooring, the minimalist design of the furnishings, and the specially designed lighting, they create truly exclusive living spaces.<br><br>From the street, you access the building through a pedestrian gate using a personal numeric code (apartment code) to be entered on the keypad located to the left of the entrance.<br>The same code also allows you to open the apartment’s front door.<br><br>The large windows are equipped with external sunshades that provide maximum privacy and allow you to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the apartment as desired.<br><br>All double beds in the apartment come with orthopedic bed bases, mattresses featuring seven-zone pocket springs, and memory foam pillows to ensure optimal rest; additionally, each bedroom has its own private bathroom with a shower, accessible directly from the bedroom itself.<br><br>The apartments are equipped with Wi-Fi, and each bedroom has a 42-inch smart TV.<br><br>In the property’s courtyard—separated from the street by a minimalist Corten steel gate—there are two private parking spaces for the exclusive use of the apartments. Private parking spaces are available for a fee (please enquire about availability)<br>The driveway gate opens with a code (gate code).<br><br><br><br>The apartment (Canopo)<br><br>Upon entering the apartment, you’ll find a living area with two large windows overlooking the inner courtyard. Here you’ll find a 107-cm round table (Tulip model, designed by A. Saarinen) complete with 4 chairs (Fourmi model, designed by A. Jacobsen), suitable for dining with 4 people, and a sofa. <br>This room transforms into a perfect bedroom simply by unfolding the built-in fold-down double bed recessed into the wall. The sofa will automatically adjust, and its backrest will slide under the bed’s surface. (Note: The fold-out bed has a safety soft-close mechanism that allows it to lower and raise very easily.) Furthermore, even though it is a fold-out bed, it retains the same features as the other beds in the two bedrooms, ensuring that all occupants of the apartment enjoy the same quality of sleep. In front of the bed, you’ll find a white cabinet housing a 42" TV, protruding from the old stone and brick wall; inside, you’ll discover a closet for storing your clothes.<br><br>The bathroom, complete with a shower, is located directly behind the wall by the bed, making it accessible right from the bedroom.<br>Beyond the painted glass sliding door, you’ll find the kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, a microwave, an induction cooktop, and a range hood with external ventilation; the ceramic worktop features a built-in sink, and the faucet has a pull-out spray. The kitchen also features a convenient wooden snack bar with two stools.<br>The kitchen is strategically located, as it can be accessed directly from the bedroom or from the living room/bedroom without disturbing the other people sharing the apartment
