This home is just a short drive from the town of Hanalei and the gateway to the North Shore attractions, beaches and trails.
You'll truly enjoy this home with a spacious and inviting floor plan.
-Seven beach trails are within walking distance from the house, with snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, beachcombing, and much more. Some are season dependent.
-Less than a mile away is Hanalei Bay Resort, Happy Talk Lounge, Hideaways, One Hotel, and other Princeville attractions.
-Just a short stroll from the house is sunset point. A beautiful gathering point to watch the sunset and whales, depending on the time of year.
-Princeville Shopping center, library, park, and restaurants are just a mile from the house.
- The house is located directly across from Princeville walking/jogging and Makai Golf club.

Our first overall impression was how clean the property was.The location was great, within walking distance to a lookout, Pu’u poa & hideaway beaches, and queens bath. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Princeville! The house was everything advertised and the beautiful pool and fenced in backyard was perfect for our family! We had 4 kids ages 2, 4, 6 and 8 so the private pool was perfect to keep them entertained in between excursions. The landscaping was beautiful and the kids also loved chasing the lizards! We will be recommending this private home to any friends and family for future use. Brandi was an excellent host. She responded immediately to all of our questions.

Absolutely Amazing Home

The home had everything we could have needed and more. The 3 bedrooms on the main floor had comfy beds and the bathrooms were spacious and well stocked. The master suite on the second floor was fantastic for getting away to relax. The pool was amazing. Perfect temp, perfect ambiance, lots of fun seating. The waterfall was a beautiful and relaxing feature. There were pool toys and beach supplies galore! We would highly recommend and would love to come again. The North Shore of Kauai also had everything we needed - shave ice, beaches, restaurants, hiking, scenic sites!

Kauai family trip 2022

Everything was perfect! The location, the pool, the furnishings all met our expectations. We really enjoyed the fire table and appreciated propane being provided for the table and grill. Lovely neighborhood and we enjoyed walking to Queens Bath and Hideaways. The snorkeling was amazing at Hideaways Beach.

Great house for our family vacation!

Our family of 8 enjoyed the house and the pool. We grilled brats, had coffee in the wonderful screened in sun room, and all easily fit around the large dining room table. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The beach chairs and boogie boards weee awesome! We didn’t have a chance to ride the bikes. So close to Hanalei Bay and walking distance to Queens Bath. Great communication from Brandi too!

The property was perfect for our large family gathering! Well equipped, clean and spacious. Enjoyed the pool even though it was quite chilly for the kids due to little sun with lots of rain and wind. Did quite a bit of island driving which was my fault for not researching areas. Neighborhood was upscale. Made great use of the bbq. Plenty of beach toys and chairs. A wonderful time was had by all from ages 4-72!

Great choice for a large family.

This was my first experience booking with Vrbo and the host made the whole process so easy. The host was responsive, easy to talk to regarding any questions I had and understanding of my concerns. I couldn’t have asked for a better host. The house was amazing for my large family. It had everything we needed: kitchen items, swim stuff, cleaning supplies, just everything. The tiniest details were taken care of and the property is beautiful. The children loved the pool. I knew they would enjoy having it all to themselves rather than fighting for space at a hotel pool. If you are considering this property, just do yourself a favor and book it.

North side of Kauai - love this area!

The house was clean and comfortable and had nice outdoor areas. The North side of the island is the place to be; beautiful and quiet and like no other place on earth. We were a family group of 6 for the first 2 days, and then expanded to 11 for the last 5 days of our stay. There are 4 comfortable beds (3 queens and one King) that comfortably accommodated the adults in our group. Beyond those beds, there are pull out sofas which are in the middle of the main gathering area. In order to avoid having that level of chaos in the downstairs living areas, the kids ended up sleeping on the floor upstairs and in the closet. Not an ideal set up. Our one disappointment is that the owner charges $50 per day extra for anyone over 8, even though the house max is 12. We assumed that there would be better sleeping spaces for the extra people. Additionally, we were charged that extra fee for all the days; even the 2 days that we were only 6 people (a total surcharge of $1050). The kitchen is functional, but lacked important items like a coffee grinder and a griddle (items that are pretty standard in houses at this price point). On the positive side, Brandi provides cruising bikes, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach towels/chairs, beach toys, etc... we loved being able to go to Hanalei and other area beaches! Overall, we had a good experience.

Aloha Sandra, We are sorry we were not able to process a refund for you for the holiday rate/ additional person fee 6 days post stay on January 11, 2019. The booking and charges were posted to your account and accepted by you on April 5, 2018. And you send your April 2018 Credit Card statement to me on January 11, 2019 (6 days post stay) asking for a non holiday rate after you checked out on January 5, 2019. We do charge more over the holiday as you saw and were charged 10 months prior to your stay. We were happy to talk to you about the booking and charges any of the 10 months prior to your stay. We really tried to meet your every request during your stay.The housekeepers worked very hard to make sure we're able to get you into the property at 1pm since you expressed you were traveling with an elderly person who was quite tired and needed to rest. We also got extra bikes delivered to you when the island rentals were sold out. I am sorry you did not see the griddle in the pantry. We appreciate the feedback on the coffee grinder and are happy to look into getting one. We felt the kitchen was well stocked with a crockpot, juicer, serving platters, utensils, grilling utensils, coffee maker, blenders, pots, and pans, measuring utensils etc. But we are lacking a coffee grinder. We do list the sleeping arrangement on the listing. I'm surprised people had to sleep on the floor. There is a queen bed in each of the lower three bedrooms. There are two pull out sofas in the living room, there is a King bed upstairs with another sofa and lounger, a rollaway twin bed and a playpen. Many resorts advertise there lounger as a sleeper. There are enough beds to accommodate up to 14 adults plus a playpen. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

Nice home, some fishy customer service

The home is in an excellent location. We walked to Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach, and the St. Regis Beach. The Princeville Park is nearby and was a frequent stop for us with the kiddos. The home was comfortable and clean. The backyard was great, the kids loved looking for lizards! There were a couple of maintenance issues. The dishwasher did not wash well and we resorted to washing dishes by hand. One of the bedroom ceiling fans was not working. The home owner had a portable fan dropped off for our use. Beach towels were sparse, so bring some of your own. The stay was great, but 10 days after we returned, I emailed the owner to ask when we would expect to see the deposit. The response was an insurance company claim stating that the stove top was broken and that a comforter was missing. I am certain that we did not take a queen size comforter back to Montana in our already overstuffed luggage. I remember seeing it on the bed when we did our final walk through of the home. I also used the stove that day, and it worked fine. I contacted vrbo and the home owner. The home owner would not accept that we were innocent. Luckily, the vrbo insurance covered the "broken stove", but we lost a portion of our deposit for the "missing" comforter (or damaged comforter?...We received conflicting reports.). So, my advice, if you stay here, take before and after pictures of everything.

We are glad you had an excellent stay. Every correspondence from you indicated everything was great and perfect up until the claim on the shattered stove. I did not take it lightly to have to make a claim. In the 7 years of owning vacation rentals, this was our first claim we have had to make. Unfortunately, it was a safety issue for future guests on a major appliance. This was the first we heard of the dishwasher not working well. The following guest mentioned it to us and we had it fixed immediately. In regards to your response saying you asked for your deposit 10 days after your stay, our email and correspondence show you emailed 2 days after departing asking when you deposit would be returned. At that time I had asked you about the Stove and Comforter. I sent pictures and tried calling. You mentioned it worked fine but it was a safety issue for future guests. The stove is cleaned everytime between guests and the cleaners and ourselves verified it was shattered during your stay. You asked me to check the closets in various rooms to find the comforter that you said you had seen while staying at the home. I searched under every bed and in every closet. You said you had folded it and put it away in a closet in a different bedroom. There were 11 people in your party and unfortunately we tried very hard to work with you to find it. We leave 8 beach towels for our guests' convenience as well other useful beach gear. We did find the missing remote in the kitchen for the bedroom fan and we are glad we were able to get another fan to the house for you. We strive for 5 stars and are sorry you felt the need to give 2 stars. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and vacation. Mahalo, Brandi

Quiet hours from 9-9, seems a bit extreme!

We loved the location and house but thought the quiet hours from 9-9 were a bit extreme! Someone called on us because our kids were swimming at 8:30 am! The roosters wake you up everyday way before that anyway!! Otherwise perfect!

We are originally from Colorado. We have been coming to Kauai for over 20 years and love it here. We love everything outdoors from Snorkeling, surfing, hiking, kayaking and, paddle boarding the warm Hawaiian waters to hiking the Colorado mountains and skiing and snowboarding. We are a small family of three. When searching for a place in Hawaii we wanted to find a place that multigenerational families or a couple of families traveling together could enjoy. A place to gather, relax and enjoy meals together before and after a day out exploring. We absolutely love how central this house is to everything we love to do. It is easy to walk places and drive places. We love the large lush yard as well and have made a private oasis in the backyard.

We love the central location of this home. It is close to all of our favorite activities. We picked this home because it can accommodate the extended family and friends. There is ample living area to enjoy each other's company and have your private space. The North shore Kauai is gorgeous and not like any other area of Hawaii that we have seen.
