We had high expectations based on the listing but everything, on every level of hospitality, was even better than we might have hoped for!

We've stayed in a lot of rental properties over the years and Somerleaze is in a different league. The house is stunning — every room has been designed with real thought and taste, not the usual "luxury rental" copy-paste. The kitchen alone (that marble, that copper hood) made us want to cook every night. Bedrooms are beautiful. The grounds sealed it — the heated pool in the walled garden, the wood-fired sauna, the river at the bottom of the property. Our kids didn't want to leave (the football pitch and trampoline helped). Philip and Jo have created something genuinely special here. It feels like staying in a home, not a hotel — just one with impeccable taste. We're already planning our next visit.
