Property was decent for the price we paid. Rooms were clean with the exception of ceiling fans which were dusty. Linens on the bed seemed a little older but they were clean. Shower’s need some TLC. Overall the stay was good and the communication with host was great. You get what you pay for and for the price it’s ok but spend extra money if you want a really nice place

Great place to stay in North Houston! Nice neighborhood, house was clean, plenty of space. Enjoyed the grill on the patio. Owner was very good at communicating and accommodating.

The biggest advantage of this house was its location, as it was close to where we needed to be. However, the home itself could use some updates and better upkeep.There was a musty smell inside, the furniture was dated, and the refrigerator was quite old and made noises that made it sound like it was nearing the end of its life. It also did not have an ice or water dispenser. The inside of the microwave was blackened from what appeared to be something burned in it, and the bedsheets were visibly old and could use replacing. The bed itself was comfortable enough.For anyone traveling with a dog, there are a couple of gaps in the fence where a small dog might be able to get out. About half of the backyard is dirt or mud, so it could be messy for pets after rain.The neighborhood seemed fine, although it is an older area.Overall, the location was convenient, and the house served its purpose for our stay. However, between the musty smell and the condition of some of the furnishings and appliances, I would not have wanted to stay longer than one night. With some updates and a little more attention to the details, the property could be improved considerably.

This is the second time we stayed here after 4 yrs. No upgrades were made since then. It was practical for our family with a wheelchair user. Bathroom doors are not wide enough though. More detail cleaning can be done around the windows to remove spider webs.

If you are looking for a place to stay and not be there much, this would be a cost effective option for you. However, if you hope to "enjoy" your VRBO, stay somewhere else. The house needs love. We saw a couple of Texas sized roaches during our stay. Lots of small ants were all over the rag in the sink in the morning. There was no clean sponge, dishrag, or drying towel. The bathroom towel holder fell off as soon as I touched it to hang a towel. The master bathroom toilet doesn't flush well. I will say that the beds were commendable. They were clean and comfortable. I slept more comfortably in these beds than a more expensive vacation rental we moved to after this one.

Host was very responsive to all of ol the questions we had prior to our arrival, which was very helpful. The listing is accurate as shown. Although we didn't have our pers, this is a pet friendly place with an enclosed yard. It was clean and not stinky like some other pet friendly places! Having laundry availability was helpful for us too. Thank you.

Had an ant problem in the kitchen, plus back to back nights of water bug issues.Towel rack kept falling off wall in hallway bath room.Could not use primary bath because of the tub size and not able to step into tub safely. Hallway bath was old and badly chipped and rusted.Food left in microwave, from either previous guest or cleaning staff.Old furniture, basically looked very old and shabby and not well cared for. We did not contact owner because he obviously knows what condition the unit is in.Left early!!!! Would never stay there or any other unit he owned.

The kindest hosts! Lovely house that was able to fit all of our needs. Reasonable fees for having pets, with a very nice yard for them. We got here before the winter freeze and ended up having to snag an extra night because we can’t travel home yet… they were super accommodating and helpful. Garage to keep our car in, and the beds are COMFY.
