My wife and I stayed 2 nights and had a great experience! The Guest House is in a quiet neighborhood walkable to uptown. We like to have a kitchen when we travel and while we chose to visit the local restaurants on this trip the facilties were very nice and had a spacious dining area. Bedrooms are upstairs and worked out well for us as I had a partial work day during our stay. I was able to have privacy and a good internet connection. Laura is a A host, check-in was easy, communication was great and the assistance with parking was much appreciated!

Great location. Owner excellent communication. Was visiting for a conference so basically just slept there. Downstairs especially kitchen well appointed and more than adequate was provided. Bring your own coffee if you’re a coffee snob. Lighting in second bedroom wasn’t great. There were 2 of us and with doors closed between the bedrooms I could not hear my roommate and she snores. Overall very good experience and would recommend.

Perfect place for overnight stay

Three adults and three children visiting for Real Madrid game. Close to Bank of America Stadium and lots of shops and restaurants. Perfect location for us.

Semi-local weekend getaway

We rode the train in from Durham, and wanted a place close enough to walk to Discovery Place! This property was absolutely perfect for the whole family to walk! Beds were comfy, and all amenities were great!

Overall everything was great, and we felt like it was a good value for the money. The location was great, the place was clean and had everything we needed (and more!). The host was very responsive to any questions and very friendly in her responses. Just a couple things I did not prefer... the fluorescent lighting throughout, though there were other lighting options, and there was an air freshener smell, though we could not find a source. These are fairly minor details for most people but I'm sensitive to fragrances so needed to open a window.

Thanks for your review, Dana. FYI we do not use any fragrances or air fresheners. As a parent of a highly-allergic child, I am very understanding of others' sensitivities. Yes, indeed, the reason there are many lighting options is because some people - like myself - don't tolerate fluorescents very well. The property is well-lit without needing to use them.

Weekend Trip

The property is great with a fantastic location very close to a wide variation of restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The layout of the property, especially the bedrooms is a little quirky, but it worked out great for a short weekend guys trip. Laura was great and communicated everything clearly about the stay.

Stop over on family vacation

Enjoyed our stay . Very nice property and “‘extras” provided . Some confusion on parking and sleeping arrangements with the space listed but all ended up being fine. Overall , great stay .,

Great location and friendly host

Nice location in the Fourth Ward of Uptown Charlotte. Easy walking distance to many of the attractions on Tryon Street. The host did a great job prior to check in and made sure that all the necessary details were communicated.

Great for a small family

Laura provided a bunch of baby extras for our stay with an infant that made our lives so much easier. The place was nice, clean and cozy - not to mention walkable to the baseball stadium and most of our other destinations.

Delightful!

Thoughtfully furnished and well located with spectacular views of the Charlotte skyline. It was perfect for our New Years celebration. Highly recommend!
