We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Villa Poggio al Sole with our three children (aged 12-17)

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Villa Poggio al Sole with our three children (aged 12-17). Over the years we’ve stayed in numerous villas and this was a clear favourite for everyone. The villa is incredibly well located, only a short way out of town but sufficiently far that you feel completely away from it all. Set comfortably in its grounds off a road that sees almost no through traffic. The pool is a great size, with a lovely covered area to shelter from the sun when it gets a bit too much and plenty of comfortable chairs and loungers. The villa itself is spacious and clean, with very good sized bedrooms, air con in all areas, a good TV area and nice options for eating inside and out (looking at the lovely view). The kitchen has everything you need and the laundry room in the outbuilding is a great addition. Mostly what made the stay, however were all the little things. The condiments, herbs, spices, cling film, coffee capsules, detergent etc left in the kitchen when so many rental places empty all this out. The robot lawnmowers that mean the grass always look neat and tidy, the outside WC and shower, the large covered car port, the robot pool cleaner that ensured the pool was clean every morning. I really couldn’t fault the place.

We had a great week here. The house is new, clean and simply wonderful. The pool is nearby and also great. Marco is courteous, kind and help if you need. We definitely come back. :)

Absolutely loved our stay at this Tuscan villa! The view of the valley is unreal—caught sight of wild boars, horses, and sheep, which was nice. We were a large group of 8, and this huge villa had enough room for everyone without feeling cramped. The pool overlooking the valley is awesome. Kids had a blast with all the play space and toys. Big shoutout to Samantha for being super responsive and pointing us to amazing local restaurants. Highly recommend!

Family of 10 people, 6 adults and 4 children had an absolutely fantastic week in this lovely villa. Super welcome, nice and helpful landlord and manager. Clean and modern house with air conditioning and bathroom attached to all bedrooms. Good facilities with a large carport, outdoor kitchen, laundry room, large pool with attached wc/shower, very well-maintained outdoor area with volleyball court, table tennis and play stand. Here you have everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Great location with a short distance to a good selection of groceries, bakery and good restaurants. At the same time the villa is located in quiet surroundings. Strongly recommended.

Fantastic Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, spacious villa. The pictures are accurate. The pool area was very peaceful. The property manager and owner were both friendly and available if we had questions. The owner provided snacks and drinks when we arrived.The house is in a very quiet area. It is not walking distance to the nearest town, although you could walk to a Café that is about 10 minutes away. When we went to the closest town, pretty much everything was closed, except a couple cafés, but I understand that in this area, a lot of establishments close on Mondays and Tuesdays. In addition, some restaurants don’t open until 7 PM. There was a town that was about a 15 minute drive away that had a number of restaurants that were open.There were extra linens, towels, and toilet paper, which was great, along with a kitchen that was fully stocked. Our only complaint was that the mattresses were somewhat hard, and the pool is not heated, and was too cold to swim when we went in May.

Exploring Italy Trip

My family (my husband, son, daughter and my son in law), travelled to Italy. My daughter and her husband had visited Italy before, but it was the first trip for the rest of us. We chose this villa, because of its location relative to places we wanted to visit. I am so happy we decided on this particular villa. It was a quiet retreat nestled in a beautiful valley where we could rest and recoup from our day's events. The house was absolutely beautiful! The bedrooms were spacious and each had its own large bathroom. There were several air-conditioners located in many rooms throughout the home, where temperature could be adjusted for comfort in each room. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make this our home for a week, and the dining area was very large to accommodate more people if we needed it. In addition to the inside area, the outside area also had a large patio where we gathered to eat, play games, and just enjoy the beautiful view. The pool area had a large area in the shade where we also enjoyed relaxing and reading several days. There was a separate building that had a brick oven and cooking supplies if you wanted to cook dinner over the fire. There was a large laundry area which we utilized while we were there as well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the manager, Lisa and the homeowner, Marco. Both Lisa and Marco were so welcoming. We felt at home right away. If we come back to Italy, we will definitely come back here!
