Castle yard was perfect. A lovely house that was clean, well equipped and beautifully presented. The photos really don’t do it justice. It is perfectly situated in Knaresborough with beautiful views of the castle, close to the lovely shops and pubs and walking distance to the train station. A lovely weekend away was had by all. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at Castle Yard House. The location was spot on , right in the centre of Knaresborough with a fabulous view of knaresborough castle entrance . Everything is literally right on your door step . The cottage its self is very modern with tasteful decor , comfortable beds with a nice spacious feel . It was very clean with nice thick carpets (it’s the little things) . The fizz and chocolates went down well thank you Knaresborough was a lovely little place with plenty coffee shops , pubs , restaurants. We found everywhere we went we were made to feel welcome , everyone was so friendly . We loved our walk through the castle grounds and down the steps to Knaresborough Viaduct where you’ll find more places to eat and drink and a boating lake with boats you can hire . There is a long stay car park on York street . 2.40 for 24 hours . You will need to drop off bags first then park up . Disabled parking is right on your door step . Paul the host was very responsive and helpful . Thank you for a great stay - we will be back

Top quality accommodation close to facilities.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable and so quiet in the evenings that we could here the silence.

Lovely house in a great location

A really lovely house in a perfect location for visiting the sights of Knaresbrough. The house is very comfortable, tastefully furnished and with good facilities and equipment.The welcome card and gifts on our arrival were a nice touch too.Overall a great place to stay if you are visiting the area.

Beautiful cottage in idyllic surroundings

Lovely cottage with amazing views of the castle & near to the town. Well equipped and comfortable, though a little chilly downstairs. We stayed in April, so this would probably be quite welcome in the summer months. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic host

After an issue on Vrbo's behalf after the property was let to us but shouldn't have been the host came very quickly to our rescue. We cannot thank him enough for providing a solution even though the issue was not his. We stayed at the property for two nights and it was the ideal stay, after the initial issue. The house is very comfortable and is charming in its unique upstairs, downstairs layout. It is well equipped & I loved the kitchen and its appliances etc. The position of the property is great and has a great view of the castle from the living room. Even though its fairly central it was quiet. If we ever stay in Knaresbough again we would definitely stay at this property. Thanks again to the host who went over and beyond to rectify the booking error situation.

One week with family in Knaresborough

One week with family in Whitby We had a good stay for the whole family in the Castle Yard House in Knaresborough. The house is fully equiped with modern technical utensils. The house gives a stylish impression and is very comfortable and there was enough room for the four of us where everybody had enough space for himself. Starting with the breakfast i the kitchen and ending with playing cards after dinner we really enjoyed every moment in the house. The house is near the centre of Knaresborough. Leaving the house through the front dooor leads directly to Knaresborough Castle above the river Nidd. And within minutes you can reach restaurants, pubs, smaller shops, supermarkets, the station with trains to Leeds or York, ... easy by foot. Communication with the host was uncomplicated and efficient. And even if everything was well prepared the host really took care for us having a pleasant and comfortable stay. In case of another stay in Knaresborough we would boook again the Castle Yard House.
