The location of this property is perfect— a quiet street but just a short walk to the waterfront, the fountain, and the main piazza. The property is roomy but there are stairs. However, we were 2 couples ages 67-79, and we did fine.

Dear Aleta, thank you for your kind review, we are glad you had a great stay and loved Ortigia and our apartment!
We were very happy with our stay and loved the rooftop terrace. Good location, clean and well equipped.Assistance with a parking reservation was key. Thank you for that!
Overall nice property, very well situated close to the Duomo. The living room and the two bed rooms have dedicated A/C units, a must if you visit Ortigia in summer. Beautiful views of the city (and sea) from the top patio.
My only concern is that not all fees are handled through VRBO. A separate company (ItalianBreaks) manages a second contract with additional fees for electricity, weekend checkin etc….

Dear Patrick I am very happy you enjoyed your stay in my apartment in Ortigia.
I am also the Director of Italian Breaks a holiday rental Company. As a Company we advertise many properties on VRBO . including Casa dei Nonni, my own flat. I hope this explains a little. If I were to add upfront all electricity charges , late arrivals etc. Lots of guests would end up paying more than what they actually use in electricity or for arrival after hours etc. I think it is fairer to guests to read the meter on arrival and departure so that they pay what is due. the local charges are clearly shown in the description before booking . I hope this helps. I look forward to having you and your friends as guests . Arrivederci. Cristina
