We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the WW 1 sites in the area. The house was large and we had plenty of room for 3. It was nice having the garage for our car. The dishes and pans were dirty in the kitchen. The upstairs toilet was dirty and it hadn’t been cleaned. Otherwise it was ok for a 2 night stay.

Thank you so much for staying with us, Lisa, and for being thoughtful enough to share your feedback. We're really disappointed to hear about the cleanliness issues in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom — that's not the standard we hold ourselves to — and we made changes to our cleaning process to ensure this won't happen again. We'd love to welcome you back and give you a better experience next time!

Beautiful accommodation

We had everything we needed in tge well appointed home. The location provided a pleasant walk into town anb easy driving to the WWI American Cemeteries and monuments that we wanted to visit. The owner was most responsive. We would visit again for a longer stay.

Peaceful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but wish we could’ve stayed longer to prepare meals in the amazing kitchen (what looked like a microwave was actually a grill for preparing meat!). The neighborhood was safe and quiet yet close to places to shop, eat and appreciate the architecture. The host was easy to contact and available to answer questions. Highly recommend!

Well equipped house in good location with parking. Owner away but responsive within a few hours. We would have preferred to be more in control of the heating and hot water, and to pay for the gas/electricity we used.

The house was fine although if there had been more than 2 of us there was nowhere for everyone to sit to watch the TV. The lounge really needs a big comfortable sofa. Our problem was that the hosts did not communicate, although as I have already said their other communications were very good, that the road was a total building site from 4th May until 14th August 2026. There was a notice in the kitchen to advise of the on going works which started early in the morning and continued until late afternoon, the noise was constant and very loud. Had we known about this we would have cancelled the booking. I have evidence of the notice. We also asked for fans as the temperature was really hot and there was no way to cool down in the house. This request was met with sarcasm and lack of empathy and we were told we would just have to get on with it. We had to sit with the front door open to allow air to circulate which unfortunately gave access to all the dust and dirt on the road. Not a very comfortable experience. Again the host showed no help when we advised him of this saying they had no control over anything. The house next door was also undergoing a total rerun and the noisy work started very early in the morning. We left a night early as it was too much to put up with.I feel, very strongly, that we should have been told of the ongoing roadworks to allow us to make the decision to cancel.

Is erg makkelijk.

Vielen Dank an Thomas
