Large house with private pool in Medieval Bastide

Excellent old house with sympathetic decor and modernisation that comfortably accommodated our party of 8 during a spell of very hot weather. The private pool was much appreciated by everyone and the central location within Vianne was so convenient but quiet and private.

The "Maison de la Bastide" (this rental in Vianne seems to go by several names) is exactly as described and perfect for a large and diverse group of people. In our case, a family whose ages ranged from 7 to 80. The kitchen, to comment on what was very important to us, was in very good shape, well equipped for cooking the wonderful range of foods available in the area. We used it extensively and enjoyed meals around the large, farmhouse style table. The bedrooms and baths were as described and more than met our needs. Ample is the best description of the accommodations. Outside, the pool and patio surrounding it were very welcome to the youngest of our group, but even the adults found the pool refreshing. Parking our two rental cars was easy, both on the property and on the street.Even the best conditions can occasionally find problems and the response by the property manager was prompt and complete. While problems were minor, having them answered right away was very welcome.The village of Vianne is charming and has just enough services to support your immediate needs. The Sunday market in Mezin is well worth the visit. Super markets are very near at hand so all needs are covered. Visiting the local Bastide towns of the area was our main focus and we were more than happy with those trips.We would not hesitate to recommend this house and the surrounding area.

Très bon séjour dans votre magnifique maison, chaleureuse, typique et très bien équipée. Particulièrement soignées, les literies étaient très confortables. Merci à Faustine pour l'accueil. La situation de la maison en plein bourg mais au calme est parfaite. Nos petits enfants ont particulièrement apprécié la belle piscine. Merci beaucoup. Muriel et Philippe de Nantes
