Lovely friendly host and a nice quirky place to stay in a lovely village not far from Weymouth. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and we hope to stay again in the near future
What a beautiful tranquil well equipped and exceptionally clean cottage. Ideal for 2 in a lovely quiet place that is within easy walking distance to a fabulous local pub serving excellent food. Hillary the host was lovely and ensured we had everything. The eill cared for horses in site were calming to watch from the cottage and garden.

Thank you for being such lovely guests. I do hope you will come again.
A great place where you can take your dogs with many great walks in the local area and you can walk straight from the property. Lots of lovely places to eat and all near the coast.

Thank you for your review. If only all my guests were as lovely as you. Hot bath and warmth any time. Kind regards Hilary
The cottage was exactly as described. Our host was incredibly helpful, went out of her way to provide us with a phone charger. Bertie and Bailey made the most of the secured garden space. The Elm Tree Inn just 8mins walk away was a bonus, the food was great and dog friendly too. Cottage is really close to the South Coast Path we were able to walk to Weymouth.
Excellent property for 2, in quiet location. Tastefully decorated, owner nearby & very helpful & friendly.

Thank you for your review. I am so pleased you enjoyed the peace and quiet that my little cottage offers. I do hope you will return in the near future. Kind regards Hilary
The little cottage was great. We had been on the road for a while before staying here and it was just the break we needed. Away from other busy places but also convenient for exploring the Jurassic Coast.
Lovely property in a very nice, quiet location. Good access to the coastal road. The place may be too small for some as it has low head clearances upstairs and in the bathroom

Thank you for your review. I do state that the bedroom has limited headroom. There is ample headroom in the bathroom for a bath unless you were trying to stand up in the large bath and use it as a show - which it is not.
It is advisable to read all the details of any accommodation you book as it may not suit all your requirements.
A beautifully decorated cottage with all mod cons yet retaining an ‘olde world’ charm conveniently located for exploration of the Jurassic coast, short walks to nearby Chesil beach and the Fleet lagoon, and a ‘stone’s throw’ from a pub serving excellent food.
Even better than its description, the cottage is delightful. Great host Hilary takes immense pride in offering a share of the Dorset dream. Location is fabulous for walkers and plenty to do and see in close proximity....its a haven of tranquility, with all the charm of the love and effort that goes into making a special holiday.

Thank you both for your review. It is so lovely to have guests who appreciate the cottage, the location and of course me!! Some guests just find it too quiet and I can never understand that, but those who prefer the peace and tranqual surroundings go home well refreshed. Keep up the walking Bernard you deserve a medal. I do hope you will come again. Best wishes to you both Hilary and Fern
Quaint cottage close to Weymouth and a mile from the beach. Peaceful location with a country pub and bridal paths close by. Only this cottage on site plus the owners cottage. Private parking.
This was a cottage perfect for my partner and I , quiet close to coastal walks .. quality pub restaurant the Elm tree walking distance .. the property owner left us a lovely card and Easter egg .. the best stay for my border terrier who loved it there
We had a lovely stay, Hillary the owner was lovely, she checked in on us to check we had everything we needed, she was absolutely great, suggested places to eat etc.
The cottage was perfect for the two of us, it is in a quiet spot but not to far away from local amenities. We ventured over to Luthworth Cove and Durdle door. A lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world.
A nice relaxing 5 day stay in a characterful cottage
This ticked all the boxes for us - a compete break from busy, noisy London in the peace and quiet of the Dorset hills. We slept well in the upstairs bedroom - but mind your head if you’re tall as the eves are quite low level. Highly recommended.
Really beautiful ,clean cottage with everything you could need ,nice and peaceful and a handy location to visit Weymouth ,no issues with parking and the host was friendly ,horses in field outside so nice view to wake up to
We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage.
We enjoyed walking from the property, particularly the walk down to the Fleet from the village. There are also a great many places to visit within in short drive.
We found everything we needed provided in the property and Hilary made us very welcome. It is in a quiet, tucked away location and the cottage retains many of the original features with sensitively added modern conveniences. I would highly recommend a stay at Groom's Cottage if you want a perfect getaway.
Our stay at the Groom’s Cottage in Langton Herring was absolutely marvellous. The surrounding is beautiful, great opportunities for walks with the dog, plenty of things to do and to see in Dorset, very nice pubs and restaurants close by. Unfortunately the local pub in Langton Herring went out of business, but we managed. Our host Hilary was very kind and helpful but never intrusive. Very commendable indeeed!!
Lovely tranquil cottage built for two. The only sound was the birds and the horses. Hillary the host was in the next cottage but unobtrusive, we saw her when we got there and as we were packing up to leave. She was very friendly and stopped for a chat then she didn't bother us until we left. Fabulous peaceful weekend
