Authentic cottage in a very quiet and peaceful location, stunning view all round over the hills and clouds, and the sheep and horse from the owners who passionately run a sheep and cow farm. Lots of privacy, enough space. We came for a rest and walks, and this cottage was fantastic. Very nice owners, easy and quick communication.

Excellent stay. Whole family enjoyed, couldnt have asked for a better wee break away to reset. Cottage clean, cozy, comfy and had everything we needed. Jennifer is an excellent host, so friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

Slight comms mixup (which was nobody's fault really) before arrival was very quickly sorted and Jennifer was lovely.Cottage is exactly what it says it is. Isolated and rural, which was exactly what we wanted. Open views all round and a good star field view at night as well if you're lucky enough to get clear skies. Comfy sofa. Comfy bed. Log burner is great for keeping the place toasty on top of the central heating. We got usable, but not blazing fast, internet on our O2 based mobile connections. You won't be streaming 4k with it, but it was usable. The road up once you're actually in the farm is a little rough, but it's passable. I was driving an Audi TT at standard ride height and it made up and down it just fine. So unless your car is super-low, you should be OK.All in all, we got a quiet, relaxing, couple of days away, which was just what we wanted. Recommended.Oh .... watch out for the pheasants! You can't miss em! (Except in your car ... when you want to miss them!)

Best view and location, amazing value for money, great for plugging off the grid, kitchen has all the basic amenities necessary. Host - Jennifer was great. No wifi but mobile network (we had EE) worked well.Although heating was left to stay on, we noticed the radiators were cold a few times during early morning and late afternoon- so can get a bit cold- especially because we had one year old with us, we were being extra careful.Will be back agian for sure.

What an absolute find this cottage was, so quiet and peaceful and a lovely place to relax and unwind, and very well equipped. It was just perfect for our dogs with its totally enclosed garden. Jennifer our host could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return for a longer stay next time

Stayed there for 2 nights.Amazing rural location, quiet and lovely getaway.Jennifer was ever so friendly.Recommend to anyone.Had no issue with phone signal at the cottage.Was fairly easy to get there.

Wonderful Holiday Cottage

This was a wonderful cottage to stay at! It was very secluded with beautiful views! We enjoyed taking the path to the far end and watch the view and sheep. Inside there was plenty of room. We enjoyed the tranquil fell throughout this cottage. Would definitely come back for a longer stay!

Beautiful cottage

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. It felt like we were far away from everything, the surroundings are so stunning. The host was very helpful and everything very pleasant. We loved all the birds and squirrels in the mornings and the log fire! Thanks for a magical weekend!

Perfect!

A lovely cottage far enough away from the world to be peaceful but still close to amenities. Practicalities like the great hosts, the comfortable beds and the well stocked kitchen aside the pictures don’t do the setting justice.

Scottish Haven

We arrived tired; we left rested and at peace. This is a delightful, authentic home on a working farm. It’s warmth and the hosts are delightful. We felt as if we had come home. We enjoyed unparalleled unencumbered views across the magnificent scenery with pheasants, sheep, and horses to keep us company.

Great cottage. Environment is very beautiful. Easy to find the cottage thanks to clear instructions. Hosts are very friendly. Everything we needed was available. Very good beds, clean, comfortable living room. Table in front of the window with a spectacular view over the environment.

Escape to the country

Fabulous peaceful break away from everything. Love the log burner, homely and comfortable. Great hosts, there if if you need them, incredible scenery. The view from the dining table changed daily from sheep and lambs to the horse and calves. Will be back
