You’ll experience a unique atmosphere; the apartment blends the old with the new. The windows overlook the ancient Aurelian Walls—tall and solid, they are Rome’s most imposing monument—and the bedrooms feature distinctive decor with designer elements. The bedrooms: — there are 3 — all feature a double bed with a comfortable mattress, and — are furnished with designer pieces, such as: . the iconic Shaki chandelier by Kundalini . the sophisticated “Him” and “Her” armchairs by Fabio Novembre . the romantic “Cupid” lamp by Uto Balmoral ; the playful “bird’s nest” chandelier
. There are two bathrooms; they aren’t very large, but our architect designed them down to the centimetre to ensure they had every comfort—we only had to forgo the bidet in one of them, which we Italians love so much.
The kitchen is well-equipped with an induction cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator The living room has a comfortable extendable table that seats 8 people and comfortable chairs that
The area is full of restaurants, pizzerias, and pubs, but our street is very quiet, so you can sleep soundly, all the local spots are just a short walk away: after exploring the city, come back to our area for dinner—the food is excellent—and then walk right back home
Landmarks within walking distance of our property: - the Aurelian Walls; not just a brick wall, but 19 km of history spanning from Ancient Rome to the present day—an extraordinary fortification built by Emperor Aurelian between 271 and 275 AD to defend Rome from external threats. Built of brick and stone, the walls stand 12 metres high and are interspersed with square towers every 30 metres and imposing gates. They represent a remarkable example of Roman military engineering and a symbol of Rome’s strength and millennia-old history. - Porta Maggiore: Following the walls, you’ll reach one of the largest gates. Porta Maggiore is an imposing travertine structure that combines hydraulic functionality with monumental architecture. - The Baker’s Monument is an extraordinary and unique structure located right next to Porta Maggiore. Built in the 1st century B.C., this funerary monument was erected by Marcus Virgil Eurisace, a former slave who became a wealthy baker. - The Underground Basilica of Porta Maggiore is located 9 metres below ground. It is a one-of-a-kind site both for its nature and for how it was discovered. Due to the subsidence (1917) of the ground above the Rome-Cassino railway line, the tracks remained “suspended” over a chasm that concealed this underground treasure. After the discovery, it was decided to build a reinforced concrete framework to protect the site from water seepage and vibrations, a process that took years. It is not always open to the public except for special events; reservations for guided tours must be made through the Superintendency’s website.

Consigliatissimo.
