Beautiful home away from home

We've stayed at this property multiple times and will again. Beautiful location, away from everything and yet only minutes away from civilization. Pet friendly, great backyard for a dog. Love the place!

Great Getaway

This place was perfect for me and my husband and 2 grown sons as a brief getaway before Christmas. The fenced-in yard was also perfect for our dogs who enjoyed being able to run around free. The view of the mountains was amazing as well.

Out of the way, just the way we like it

This place was perfect for what we wanted on our honeymoon. It's close enough to downtown for restaurants and breweries but far enough out of the hustle bustle to enjoy the quiet neighborhood in the morning/evenings. Our dog loved the backyard. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable home with great views

Liz’s place was just a short drive to Asheville but away from the busyness. The front porch swing was the perfect spot for morning coffee looking at the mountains and watching the birds. My kids, husband and I came from all over NC to gather for a weekend together and everyone said it was very welcoming and felt like a home. Thanks for the relaxing weekend!

Beautiful stay and dog friendly

This place might be my favorite place we have stayed with dogs. The backyard was huge and fenced in (always a priority for us if we are bringing our dog). The owner was realistic with animals and provided extra sheets to put on the bed/couches if dogs get on furniture, which is super nice!! Our dogs sleep in a crate during the night but it is nice to not have to worry if there is a single dog hair on the couch or bed! The backyard had a wonderful view! Would stay here again!

Mountain view

We had a great stay at this clean mountain view home. The home was fully equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need or want. Comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, new washer and dryer and welcomed dogs. We loved sitting outside in the fun chairs in the morning and again at night with a glass of wine. Little bit of a drive to get to our daily hikes but not too bad. Thank you for sharing your home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the hill. Beautiful views and convenient home layout for 83yo mom. Spot on movie selection!! Exceptionally well appointed. Only issue is tight driveway at acute angle- which comes with the secluded hill view Would absolutely stay there again. Birdwatchers would definitely enjoy!

Pulling up to the property you'll see beautiful landscaping and wow what a view! The fenced yard for the dogs was great! We definitely spent most of our time outside but only because it was so beautiful! The inside of the home was so clean and well equipped for the travler and our furry companions. My best friend and I found this gem of a rental and had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful, tactfully decorated, and has all of the amenities you need! Close to Asheville without the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful views and fun outdoor lounge area. My only suggestion: plan to arrive when it is still light out because the driveway can be intimidating at night!

Modular home in a trailer park

The owner sent me an email prior to the weekend arrival stating she would be hiking near the blue ridge parkway on the weekend and sent me the caretaker's cell phone number. On the Friday before our departure, I sent the owner a text stating we had to turn the water off to the guest bathroom toilet so we could sleep, as it is leaking and is constantly filling. Her response was, "Yep, on my todo list." So she knew about the issue and did nothing to resolve prior to our arrival to ensure we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. I have rented many beach and mountain properties in the last 20 years and they have always supplied a crock pot and blender - neither were available. We went to Wal-Mart and purchased both for future renters, thinking the owner would reimburse me if I sent her the receipt. Her response: "Thanks for the offer, but you can take them with you, as I am brining an Instapot next week". Again, so she did not bring this small appliance prior to our arrival and we had to purchase it, so we could have our meals ready when we returned from a day in the mountains. This owner is not concerned about giving her renters a relaxing and comfortable vacation.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry that you felt your stay was not to your standards. I go above and beyond to make sure my guests are comfortable and provide little touches in order to do that. For instance, a large smart TV, a well stocked kitchen including a smaller crockpot (and now an instant pot), USB chargers in all the bedrooms and in the living room, shampoo/conditioner and body soap, comfortable furnishing with plenty of pillows and blankets. I'm constantly adding to my house in order to offer the best experience. I've never used a blender at any home nor have I been asked for one. If you had asked if me I had this items in the house before you arrived, I would have been able to inform you that I did not. My sincerest apologies for the toilet. I had been told about the issue by the renters before you and asked my caretaker to fix it when she flipped the house. She discovered that she couldn't and unfortunately, that left me no time to get a plumber into the house to fix it before your arrival because you arrived the same day. Unfortunately, all technical workers are in high demand right now and it's impossible get same day service. I have since fixed the toilet myself and it no longer runs. It's unfortunate that these items spoiled your visit and I wish I could have remedied them sooner. Best Regards - Liz.
