My family and I were delighted by The Red Door Cottage. Located close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants, shops and live music but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet when we ran out of steam.Lovely, comfortable property!

The Red Door is a wonderful, family friendly house with a great location. The cottage and gardens are absolutely beautiful and every inch of the home is shiny and clean. The house is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless and it has a lovely great room! Also, Tracy was a wonderful hostess! She stayed in contact with us before and after we arrived and went out of her way to ensure we had settled in and were comfortable. So, if you’re visiting the Westport area, I highly recommend booking Tracy’s Red Door Cottage!

The Red Door is beautiful. My three sisters & I loved it here. The home was so comfortable, beds & linens perfect. Two living room areas, and outdoor area. It’s so peaceful in the country yet you are a 10 min drive to Westport and 30 min drive to foxford or castlebar. We also went to Achill island a site not to be missed. The kitchen is fully stocked if you’re a chef and lots of books to read, games to play and DVD movies. We loved the horses in the paddock behind us and the friendly dogs in the neighbourhood that came by to visit. We had great walks in town but sadly the roads were so narrow near the red door we didn’t feel so safe to walk. However Tracy has high-vis vests if you want to walk. Tracy was wonderful to communicate with. We would love to return it was the perfect comfy, clean & beautiful home to rest after our long days travelling about.

Perfect Spot for Family Get-together

We came to Mayo to reconnect with our family roots. This house made the trip perfect. It fits many people comfortably and in style. It is beautifully appointed and in a bucolic setting. It has a lovely garden and backs up to farmland with friendly horses. Everything exceeded our expectations. It was a lovely spot for a reunion. And the host was so attentive and responsive.
