Host was great and the pictures dont do this house justice. Its a lot bigger in person and plenty of room for people to sleep and hangout. Very accommodating.
4 siblings, three spouses/partners, a cousin, and a local niece and her family (day visitors) gathered here for a weekend. The house was perfect for us, with room to get together and also to spread out. There was no end to things to do. Despite the heat, people were out on the kayaks and paddle boats and paddle board, and just sitting outside enjoying the view. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, coffee making options, everything. The owner quickly responded to every question we had before and after booking, and the check-out process is easy. Our weekend was even better than I hoped thanks to this lovely house and how well it fit this group.
Perfect home for a small or large group. Can’t recommend it enough. Short ride to the stockyards and quiet escape from the chaos in town. Close to anything you’d need from the store. Would definitely book again.
Wonderful house with everything you could ask for. The location on the lake was beautiful and there were lots of kayaks, peddle boats, and paddle boards for a fun day on the water. All of the rooms were clean and my group had a great time playing pool and ping pong at the house. Check in was super easy too
Our family had an amazing stay at The Water Ranch Retreat over Memorial Day weekend while celebrating our granddaughter’s high school graduation. The property was absolutely beautiful and located in a great area with so much to do. We especially enjoyed all of the activities at the ranch, including kayaking, fishing, frisbee golf, and many other fun outdoor activities that kept everyone entertained.Theresa was a wonderful host — very responsive, accommodating, and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The home was comfortable, relaxing, and a perfect place for our family to gather and celebrate such a special occasion. We truly loved our time at The Water Ranch Retreat and only wish we could have stayed longer. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!
The place is amazing! From the walk to the front door is a large pond full of beautiful koi fish. The home is more spacious than it looked in the pictures and such a beautiful place on the lake! It has a patio with two sets of tables and chairs and a separate firepit area with benches where we made S'mores. The kitchen is large and well stocked with everything you need to cook with. There is a long dining table. Many of our family enjoyed shooting pool as well as kayaking & paddle boating, with their life jackets for adults and little ones. Some of us enjoyed fishing and playing ping pong. There's lots to do here. We called the owner a couple of times and she was very responsive, extremely helpful and friendly! We highly recommend this place!
This home was extremely well set up for a group of 6 adults and 7 kids(ages 4-14 with 5 of them under age of 6). Clean and the manager/owner was extremely receptive with welcoming us. Even came by the second day to replace a modem -the modem there originally seemed to be working but she came by anyway. The kids enjoyed the backyard and the adults appreciated kayaks/lifejackets/bbq equipment. I would recommend a few more plates as we didn’t have enough for all 13 of us at one be time so used bowls. Also -we are from St Louis area and was totally oblivious that there were alligators in lakes in Texas so playing in the lake water was cut down tremendously once we saw them. Even the lady caretaker next door seemed surprised that there alligators.
