This was a “staycation” weekend for my friend because we were dying for some poolside fun. It was just what we needed. The pool was awesome and the pool house was clean and cozy.
We enjoyed our stay at the pool house in Aiken. It was very comfortable with an easy check-in. The decor was a nice mix of old and modern. Wonderful location on an oak-lined avenue near restaurants and gardens. Kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed.

Thank you, Polly. I appreciated your feedback. I look forward to hosting you again!
I thought it was a very nice stay and the host was responsive. It's a shame that we couldn't use the pool due to the colder autumn weather during our stay but it's a nice space to hang out.Only one problem is that the property was hard to find when we arrived late in the evening in the dark. It is hard to find in general for all our Uber drivers and food delivery people.
The location was perfect. The cottage was very quaint and nostalgic which we enjoyed. The host was pleasant and responsive. It was very clean and lots of towels which I appreciated. Since it was November we did not use the pool, but looks like it would be wonderful in the summer. However as another guest mentioned there is a stale smell that my husband said he got use to…but I did not. My recommendation would be to replace the carpet with hardwood or laminate. I think that may be what contributes to that issue.
The house was so cute and quiet. It was perfect for just the two of us and very close to everything we wanted to do on our stay. The pool was fantastic!! So very happy with this little home!!

You two were the perfect guests. You have a home away from home with me. Welcome back anytime!
The house has so much potential. Definitely old, very neat. Could use some outdoor clean up of the landscaping and walkway. But the location was exactly what I was looking for. Sue was very nice and very responsive.

Thank you so much for your feedback. You were a wonderful guest. I will relay to my landscape person and address some of the shrubbery. I'm not always on the premises so this is very helpful. Thanks again!
This place was cute and cozy. Very clean and plenty of space in the back to hang out to enjoy the pool. The owner was super responsive whenever I had questions. I would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area visiting. Only thing is if it’s your first time going to try to get there during the day time. The owner left lights on but the streets are not very lit in town to find the driveway. Town is super cute and plenty of stores and restaurants to check out.
We are former residents of the community so knew where we wanted to stay to be close to friends, entertainment and church. Although an older property with ‘vintage’ furniture and Kitchen supplies, the house was clean, fairly well stocked, access to wi-fi and cable along with pool and laundry facilities a plus. It was very private and secluded, quiet and peaceful. Bed was comfortable, linens and bath towels abundant and of good quality. A few minor negatives - overhead lighting very dim, tub needed a non-slip bath mat, the numerous throw rugs were a but annoying and somewhat dangerous I thought (rolled up some and put them under the bed). Our biggest negative comment relates to the smell upon entering the house each time - very musty and with fireplace ashes not removed , and maybe a little pet odor. I know that high humidity and a house on a slab lead to some of these problems, but I believe anyone with breathing difficulties such as asthma would have a hard time staying here. Room spray and a scented candle helped, but the odor was always evident when we were away all day and the house was closed up.
In spite of these issues, my rating would still be 4 stars.

Thank you for your comments. They are always appreciated as I want to provide the best experience possible. I will relay to my heating and cooling company your concerns. I am on a regular schedule service with my hope everything is as optimal as it can be. Certainly South Carolina in the summer can be humid. I encourage my tenants to reach out with any health concerns they may have so I can best accommodate as well. Mobility included. Wishing you both a safe and healthy summer!
I had no idea how wonderful Aiken was. This cute little VRBO was perfect for us to come and go and see the sites. We definitely would loved to come again!
Cute one bedroom cottage with full kitchen. Very quaint in historic area of Aikenclose to
Shops and dining. Very close to Bruce’s Field Horse show grounds. Only big enough for 1-2 adults. Owners were awesome and let me in early to get me out of the rain
This lovely cottage checked all of the boxes - great location, quiet neighborhood and all of the comforts of home. We appreciated being able to walk into town to grab a coffee, dinner or attraction. Strolling through the historic homes was a treat. In her home, Susan provided everything needed for a relaxing stay. Thank you!
Susan our host was wonderful. Easy to communicate with. Cottage was super clean. Bed was comfortable. Had everything we needed. Short walk to downtown. Great places to dine. Had a fabulous dinner at the historic Wilcox and Solo Vino.
Enjoyed the pool after hiking at Hitchcock woods.
Thanks Susan

So happy you enjoyed your stay! Would love to host you again.
Very cute & clean cottage. The pool is right outside your back door. No much to do around town but we didn’t go out anywhere. We brought our own food and cooked on the grill. It was a fantastic get away! Susan stopped by to say Hi. Highly recommend 🙂
We were in town for a horseshow and the house was so conveniently located. Lots of room to relax and quiet spaces for work. We
Loved the pool! Great walks in the neighborhood

Thank you for taking such good care of my properties. I would love to host you again. Ideal tenants!
Very close to town and to the horse shows In Aiken
I loved the pool house ! I spent most of my days at the pool, when I was not watching my daughter at her horse show in Aiken . The pool house was clean, great kitchen , comfortable bed, great linens , nice tv and living room. Great stay!
We needed somewhere to stay for a baseball tournament at USC Aiken. This was perfect. Much more comfortable than a hotel for about the same price. Enjoyed the private pool. Used the laundry to wash uniforms. Everything worked just fine.

Great property in an ideal location...close to town, but in a peaceful community. Loved the pool...was an oasis with lots of places to lounge. Owners kept me up to date on pool cleaning and other things relevant to my stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Super cute and comfortable!
The cottage was perfect for us, very cute and comfortable! There were plenty of blankets which helped because it got pretty chilly while we were there. The house wasn't quite as close to downtown as we originally thought (walking distance) but it was just a very quick drive. Definitely a great experience!
