Very good property. Clean, fantastic views. Good space for 6 in lovely bedrooms (we were 4) although smaller sitting room area would make 6 harder.Good local food in Ballintoy. The harbour is a short walk and spectacular with toilets, cafe, clean beaches and coves. Property could do with some coat hooks and a coffee table. ... but those are tiny points for a beautiful property in a spectacular location with very good access to the coast. On a good bus route.Be prepared to park a few mins away as the property is on a bend and not safe to park outside.

Wee School House was amazing, cosy home from home! Would definitely book again, only down side was parking especially if u have a young family, no access to property by car

This was our first stop on a tour of Ireland and we could not believe how fortunate we were in finding this spot. The space is clean, comfortable and well appointed. The view is breathtaking! It is walkable to a charming beach and to a few establishments in the town. As other reviewers have noted, the drawback of this property is the lack of designated parking, so getting your bags unloaded and up the stairs is a challenge - coming from North America it shocked us at first, but we soon got used to the different road conditions here, so it was not so difficult to manage, and there is ample parking 5 minutes away in town.

The cottage was beautifully clean. Very well equipped. The host kept in contact regarding access etc.The location precludes the parking of the cars and unloading etc. Parking is 200 yds down the main road. Otherwise a fabulous place with fantastic views from the bench in front of the building.

The property was very tastefully refurbished, very clean and the host very responsive to issues we raised. The parking was very tricky because the road was very busy and we were worried about 1 leaving the car a long way from the property and 2 walking on a road to get the car where there was no pavement. The tv had no reception for bbc channels even though the host tried to resolve this. Otherwise beautiful views from the property and excellent central heating. The information booklet in the property was quite old and could be updated to include all the fabulous things to do in the area and advise about lighting the log burner for example.

Ballintoy old school house was a fabulous place to stay. In fact, the school house was our favorite accommodation out of 4 while we traveled Ireland with our family of 4. The house is beautifully updated while maintaining the charm and character. The views are breathtaking. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! One disadvantage is that you have to park a bit down the road and walk to the school house. Do not let this deter you from booking and staying here - it was a non issue for us! Thank you to the host and beautiful town - we'll be back!

Pros-stunning views from the house, clean, modern, close to nearby attractions, good communication from host. Cons-we were unaware of the parking situation from the listing. You have to park your car a quarter mile away in the village as there is no way to park or pullover in front of the house. This made getting suitcases to the house, difficult. We didn’t know that it’s customary to just park in the road to unload your belongings or groceries. Also, the door has no doorknob. So, you think you unlocked the door but it latches shut and there’s no way to open it. It’s very easy to lock yourself out. Be sure you have the host’s phone number before going to the house. With little to no cell service you might want to ask for the WiFi in case you lock yourself out like we did. The host was quick to respond which we are grateful for!
