Beautiful 7 bedroom, 7.5 bath home on the lagoon in private gated community of DeBordieu. Spacious home for family gatherings. Wonderful yard with lots of opportunities to recharge and relax. Home features 6 TV's, 1 VCR, DVD, wireless internet, outside shower, fish sink, screened and open porches, hammock, beach chairs, widows walk, living room, dining room, extra sitting room, fireplace, and wet bar. Filtered water in ice maker and bar sink. Main floor has 2 bedrooms, 1st bedroom is the Master bedroom and has 1 king bed. 2nd bedroom has 2 doubles. Second floor has 5 bedrooms. 1st bedroom has 1 queen bed, 2nd bedroom has 1 queen bed, 3rd bedroom has 1 queen and 4th bedroom has 1 king. 5th bedroom has 5 twins!

NEW CLUB ACCESS FOR 2022...
DeBordieu community clubhouse offers dining, golf, tennis, fitness center, pool access and activities. There is a $200 per day charge for use of any of these amenities. The $200 per day fee is collected and arranged directly with the DeBordieu Club after your reservation has been confirmed. Rental Agent is not responsible for any club accounts or club arrangements. This home has a golf level membership.

Great friend reunion

Becca at Tide Life assured me the names of drivers were in the system and they got passes for the gate. That did not happen, some never got them, others had quite a long confusing wait to get in. Rest of our stay was very nice.

While the house is worn, in need of a remodel, new appliances, new furniture and bedding it is in a great location at the end of the beach so the crowds that week were minimal.

While the furnishings are a bit old, we look forward to this week each year. The close proximity to the beach and easy bike or golf cart ride to the beach club gives everyone the independence to spend the days as they please.

Our family enjoyed the abundance of beautiful shells, great waves for boogie boarding, biking paths are nice and wide, rented a golf cart and enjoyed touring the island that way (especially alligator pond), sand volleyball was fun with the older group while the younger ones played on the playground. Wonderful memories made here with our family.

The house is well laid out and very comfortable for our family of 13. There is easy access to the beach and DeBordieu is the perfect place to ride bikes, walk, run, etc., as there are trails everywhere. The home has several spacious porches, including one screened porch, giving added spaces for family fun.

They take such pride in making certain your vacation is awesome.

Our Stay at Par le Mer

It is the perfect house for our large family and the living space works well for gathering for meals, conversation, and games. Our call in about damaged screens was addressed immediately and screens were replaced as well as the pocket door repaired. Thank you, Travis and Stan. Hopefully the owners will replace the carpet in the house very soon as the house is in great need of new carpeting. The yard needs some attention with pruning and cutting back of shrubs and undergrowth and planting of grass or ground cover. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and came home with many wonderful memories!

Family of 19 Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at ParLaMer. This was our second time at Debordieu and ParLaMer. This home suits our family of 19 so well. The location is so close to the private beach access. We had such a great time relaxing, collecting shells, riding waves, biking and riding golf carts seeing the beautiful homes and landscaping and sitting on the beautiful porch. Some of our concerns this time - it was very difficult to unlock the lock to the beach access. Regarding cleanliness when we arrived at the home - The downstairs refrigerator had mosquitos covered inside of it and a frog jumped out when we opened it for the first time. A toilet was unflushed with urine and toilet paper in it. Trash left on carpet. Under the sofa was a beer can and donut and food crumbs. Laundry room counter was covered in sand. We didn’t expect perfection, but it was clear that whoever cleaned it before we arrived didn’t do their job well and felt you would like to know.

Foster Clan Annual Par La Mer Beach Reunion

Reviewer Comments: Our family has gathered at the Par La Mer for over 15 years now, always during the week of Father's Day (or the week following) in memory of the family patriarch who began the annual extended family beach tradition in 1985. This year we had all 24 members, spread out over two houses within DeBordieu Colony, representing 3 generations (from 4 months to 68 years of age) and 7 family groups. We love the location set back among the live oaks, across from the private beach walk access, and the relative isolation next to the Hobcaw Barony. The 5 members of the youngest generation (ages 4 mos. to 14 years) enjoy the pool access afforded by the house golf status membership (and accessed via our annual club guest membership). This year folks also enjoyed poolside dining and the fitness center. The beach itself is always a draw. We love its beauty and high degree of privacy. The house itself is mostly wonderful, though too small to accommodate us all together, and we notice needs for occasional, upgrades, some of which have been done. The downstairs AC unit went down on the hottest day of the week (over 100 degrees), but the service man came quickly after I contacted Tide Life and replaced part plus tended to a drainage issue and all was well by the evening/next day. We trust that the house will continue to be well maintained as that has a bearing on our ability to keep staying there, and of course, it is a valuable investment of the owner that seems highly worth keeping up. Each year I wonder if members of our growing, extended family will still want to make this annual trip, but each year they keep coming, some from as far away as Boston, Chicago, Ann Arbor, Indianapolis, and Washington DC. We look forward to next year, 2026!

Fun Weekend

Overall, the house was great for our weekend with friends. Plenty of kitchenware and tableware. Lovely setting. Loads of room to spread out. The entire home is in desperate need of a furniture and decorating update. It is definitely past its prime. Very, very outdated and some of the chairs were sagging. Ovens didn't work which was not a huge deal for us on this trip, however, under most circumstances it would be a huge problem.

Charming home

The kitchen appliances and accessories were barely adequate. The washer and dryer worked but were barely acceptable. The home itself has a wonderful great room that we enjoyed every evening. It was clean but the furnishings are very worn. The location is near enough to the beach but the walk was a little difficult for young children. Overall the home was clean.

Family Beach Week

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our family’s first trip to DeBordieu and we very much enjoyed our stay at ParLaMer. The house is comfortable and well equipped for large families. The location is great....right across the street from the beach access. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch in the morning and the front porch in the afternoon and evening. One of the main reasons we chose ParLaMer was for the elevator as one in our group has mobility challenges. Unfortunately the elevator broke the first day and we were told it could not be repaired while we were there. That was an inconvenience for us but would have been disastrous for someone in a wheelchair! Overall the house was fine for our family. Some of the furnishings are “tired”, especially on the porch. The beds were fairly comfortable. If the owners ever redecorate, I would recommend king size beds to replace the queens. The bedrooms are large enough and it would be much more comfortable.

Nice, private getaway

This house is in a great location near the beach. A little bit of a long drive to get through the development, but that lends to privacy. The house is roomy and well equipped. There were twelve of us on a golf trip and we never felt crowded and had everything we needed. The only negative is the deck and grounds could use a little attention in the fall with all the leaves coming down. Overall nice place, we’d use it again.
