Fitzrovia flat

Comfortable flat in a good location, looks newly renovated, everything is clean and new. Convenient check-in process, the host is online. We were quite pleased with the find, thanks!

The location looked promising, but on arrival on a Sunday morning the street was covered in rubbish and broken glass. Check-in instructions were unclear, and after a 24-hour flight from Australia we spent 30 minutes outside trying to identify the building, even resorting to a YouTube video. The apartment wasn't numbered, so we had to guess which door was ours. Another guest later tried to unlock our door, the confusion wasn't just ours. I had paid for an extra night's stay so we could check in at 8am after landing at Heathrow at 6am, but was then told the key collection point wouldn't open until 10am. To their credit, the hosts eventually arranged an alternative pickup in Soho, but it meant another taxi stop. The apartment was extremely hot in summer, and small details were lacking, such as insufficient toilet paper and no washing powder. Once the council cleaned the street a couple of days later, the neighbourhood felt much nicer and was quiet at night. It is indeed a good location but a bit random. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, but for the price we expected a smoother experience and far less back-and-forth communication. We then stayed in Rome, where the contrast was striking, with thoughtful touches like a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us on arrival. And air con!

net aantrekkelijk appartementje met living en zetelbed 2 personen en slaapkamer met dubbel bed, ronde eettafel, tv, verouderde keuken, die volstaat voor basiskeuken,in rustige buurt in het centrum van Soho. Haardroger werkte niet.Ventilatoren aanwezig maar geen airco. Goede tv.Heerlijk geslapen. Zalig ligging. Er was aangekondigd dat we bij vertrek pas na 15 dagen waarborg zouden terugkrijgen, en dit was effectief zo. Heel correcte vlotte communicatie met de host en gemakkelijke sleutelophaling.
