Saturday to Saturday check-in starting May 16th through August 15th: 7 nights minimum.

Your experience includes an 8-person, lake-facing hot tub AND a lake facing fire-pit terrace area.

Sail away to this port of call on Lakeshore Drive in Fennville, Michigan—neighboring Saugatuck and Douglas, Michigan. Here, you’ll discover stunning sunsets, calming lake breezes, and a short drive to all the amenities in the surrounding vacation community.

This four bedroom/four-bath, nautically-themed cottage sleeps 12. The second level offers a King Size bed in the Primary with ensuite. The second level has two additional bedrooms both with Queen beds and a shared bathroom. A separate loft bedroom area includes a queen and two twin beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped- including two dishwashers. The dining area offers plenty of room to enjoy activities with friends and family. The adjacent sitting area includes a large screen TV. The Great Room boasts a wet bar, full bath, and stunning lake views. The home is equipped with WIFI. The umbrella patio table and hammocks will draw you outside to enjoy the Lake Michigan views. The descending steps will take you to water level for glorious sunbathing and sunset viewing. The home has 100’ of private lake shore. A small beach area is still available.

Finally, hop in the car and make the short, 6 minute jaunt to either Douglas or Saugatuck where you'll get to experience best of The Art Coast of Michigan!

Ideal getaway!

Lovely home located within a short drive of many local places worth visiting. But more importantly a perfect place to relax and soak up nature! Unbelievable views of Lake Michigan from every room in the house. Indoor and outdoor seating areas plentiful and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great Location on Lake Michigan

Stayed at the house for family reunion. Beautiful scenery and great location close to downtown Saugatauk and Douglas. We were allowed to check in an hour early for some that were coming from airport. Also Chadd kindly dropped off some skewers to make s’mores over the fire.

We had a fantastic week stay at the Sunset View Cottage. The views of Lake Michigan were amazing. Had a great weather week and when it rained, we enjoyed watching the rain roll in from the screened in porch. Would definitely return for another visit and would recommend to others.

Beautiful setting with gorgeous sunsets. House is very spacious and has very comfortable seating on the double screened porches and in the family room. Nice long dining table. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.

The home was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed—from plenty of towels and bedding to a fully equipped kitchen and large dining table. The location was perfect—close to activities but still felt private and secluded, even with neighbors nearby. Beds and couches were very comfortable. We enjoyed swimming and relaxing on the small beach, and the benches on the steps were especially helpful for our older parents. Host communication was excellent, with quick responses before and during our stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful sunsets, spacious, great location!

This house is great for a large group. We had our grown kids and spouses for a week vacation. Plenty of room for everyone, fully stocked kitchen, large table, great bar area! Plenty of outdoor seating from various areas. Small but notable were some overgrown landscaping over the steep steps to the beach. The sundeck was great but for awareness not a lot of space on the actual beach by the water. Great location and quick drive to Saugatuck and Douglas for shopping and dining. We enjoyed our vacation here!

A Slice of Heaven on Lake Michigan

A beautiful, cozy home with great views from every window and everything you could possibly need. Super close to the many activities, restaurants and parks in Douglas and Saugatuck, but also has enough going on (hot tub, fire pit, games, fireplace) that you could easily hunker down and have a fun vacation without ever leaving this amazing house!

Very rarely do you find a rental that furnished so beautifully. It was a treat to stay in such a lovely home. Perfect for 2 couples - nice amount of room and privacy. Nicely landscaped - we enjoyed cocktails in the back yard before walking to the nearby restaurants and a soak in the hot tub afterwards. Great house - great location - I would definitely return here.

A Break at the Lake

Wonderfully relaxing. The sweeping view of Lake Michigan was awesome and the nearness of it meant being lulled to sleep each night by the waves breaking on the shore. And the coziness of the fireplace in the great room made the cool and rainy days almost welcome. We’ve already booked a return visit.

Fennville/Saugatuck Family Vacation 2024!

We loved our week at the Sunset View Cottage!! It was the perfect place for our multigenerational family. We enjoyed our morning coffee with a view….our wine and dinners with a view too!! The kitchen was perfect for group cooking and dinners…the hot tub was a fun way to end our active days ! We walked the tree lined street and rode bikes too! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage….just so perfect for our week!! We all said it was the best!! Hope to come back for round 2!!!

Surprise 60th birthday

Absolutely perfect! Comfort, style, top notch. Every single chair was so comfortable, dining seating was perfect for family gathering. The view was amazing! I honestly cannot say enough how enjoyable our stay was. Except maybe it was too short! We didn’t want to leave! Sound system was the bomb!

Family Vacation

The location of this property is spectacular! The Sunset Views are exquisite. We loved the hammocks, the hot tub, the fire pit, the beach, and the close proximity to Saugatuck. The home had a wonderful layout for our entire family. Each room was very special and we enjoyed all locations throughout the house. We took long walks on Lakeshore Drive in front of the house which were lovely. The owners were very accommodating and kindly answered any questions we had during our stay. This was a five star experience for our whole family. We would return !

Perfect for a couples weekend getaway

My boyfriend and I don't get out much as he is in the Army and I am in grad school, so it was a wonderful treat to be able to take a long weekend trip to this little oasis! Brian was super accommodating and very quick to respond regarding all of our questions or concerns. The house was just as nice as all of the pictures, everything was super neat and clean! LOVED the hot tub and the bed was super comfortable. We will for sure be back when we have a chance. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!!

Great House with even a better location.

This house was better than described on VRBO. Each bedroom had its own AC system, besides the whole house, for maximum comfort. The master bedroom suite was very large and the bathroom was comparable to a suite at the American Club. The 2nd best bedroom was the over the garage suite with a privacy door and a wonderful bathroom. The kitchen was so well stocked that it even had a pizzelle maker and more glassware than you could use. The lower lake deck had everything you needed to make your day on the lake enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

One of the best!

Just finished 2 weeks here, and it was lovely! We've rented a lot of houses, and this one was one of the best. There's everything you need to make a great vacation, and the house is fitted out beautifully. Having a private garden, with a great grill, plus the fireplace and a hot tub is just really beautiful. The hosts are great, and easy to get hold of, plus there's a house manager on hand who can pop round if anything is needed. I would thoroughly recommend staying here for any type of vacation. Small touches that really made a difference: Great WiFi Great TV package, plus the ability to rent (at your own costs) a movie from the TV if you want to Coloured face cloths!!!! Sounds silly, but I've been to a lot of houses where they're all white, and I feel really bad when they get make-up all over them! Such simple thing, but it made me and our Daughter feel much easier about using them! Well done Gents, for having such a great house!

This place is amazing! The views of Lake Michigan are outstanding. The decor was Cozy cabin meets retro chic and we were obsessed! The shower in the master bath was to die for. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. This is the house you go to and don’t want to leave, but if you do it is so close to downtown. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Can’t wait to come back!

Where do I begin? This is our 2nd times staying here and it’s just as breathtaking as the first!! We celebrated our 11 year anniversary and even brought along more family to enjoy a little vacation time. The weather was amazing so it just made it that much more memorable. Another wonderful week at our home away from home!

My family enjoyed another wonderful week making priceless memories at the Sunset Views Cottage, the most amazing views on Lake Michigan! Our hosts were so wonderful, once again making our booking, check-in and check-out process a breeze. The property manager was incredibly responsive when we reached out with any questions during our stay, and was as friendly and helpful as can be. The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and two children. We didn’t need to bring much because it’s so well stocked with towels, blankets, some water toys, cooking supplies and even a s’mores kit that we enjoyed around the fire pit. We enjoyed watching the boats go by, Bald Eagles soar overhead and a storm roll in from the amazing deck below and great room above. We love how comfortable the rooms, furniture and sitting areas are throughout the property. We also enjoyed walking up Lakeshore Drive in the evenings. But the sunsets were perhaps my favorite part of each day. Cloudy or clear, we made sure to be home to see “the show” each evening which ranged from soft cotton candy skies to the most radiant and striking colors as the sun dipped down into the lake. We can’t get enough of Sunset Views, or our wonderful hosts! We look forward to booking again and again.
