Both the kitchen sink, drain and shower drain were clogged and smelly, although the host sent someone to deal with it fairly quickly. The “air conditioner “was a portable one that could not be vented to the outside (apparently that’s illegal in France) and thus it was not very effective: cooler coming out the front but hot air coming out the back. The check-in process involved going to a small convenience store two blocks away, and as the shop did not open at the time posted, it was a hassle for us to check out. The kitchen was missing some essential things such as a cutting board, shark knives. The lift up to the second floor was very helpful, but we would stay there again.

There were some problems with the apartment, and Belvilla it was pretty quick to respond, but with multiple posts in VRBO messaging and email (each message from you was followed by another lengthy message, asking if we were satisfied with the response) became very challenging and annoying to deal with. There are times when I had 10 repetitive emails in my inbox. But we did appreciate the efforts to correct the problems. Also the need to pick up the keys at a separate location was very inconvenient. Not sure we would stay here again.

Apartment was very spacious and clean. The elevator was appreciated! Only basic supplies are included in the kitchen (no dishwasher tabs/paper towel for example). Fantastic location! Easy walk to Gare de Lyon and the PaulBucose market in one direction and the river and Old Town in the other. Having the bakery on the corner was very handy (although maybe not for my waist line!)
