Far from the madding crowd

A lovely peaceful retreat with every facility catered for, the outside area is a joy to sit and watch the birds and a resident hedgehog roam across the lawn. A very spacious and beautiful interior with excellent cooking equipment. We all had a fantastic week, lots of things to see and do in a wonderful part of the country. If its views you're after a walk or a cycle around Cleeve Hill is recommended.

The shower in the bedroom in the garden apartment wasn’t hot and the sliding door was very heavy to move but overall a great experience for the whole family

Delightful weekend

We had a lovely weekend staying at the cottage to celebrate my Nan’s birthday. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and made the perfect setting for a special family occasion. Despite it raining all weekend, Gardener’s cottage provided the perfect respite for us. We had a delightful time and would happily return.

A short stay as a base for November meeting at Cheltenham

Amazing property, very clean and well presented. Not the right time of year to explore the local Cotswold countryside, but a great base for Cheltenham races

Beautiful cottage

Had a lovely stay at Gardeners Cottage , beautifully presented and very well equipped. Set in a very quiet area with a large secluded garden. There's no shops, pubs or restaurants within walking distance , but that was fine for us as we were happy to spend the evenings enjoying the cottage.

Gardeners Cottage, a lovely place to stay.

Had a great stay at the cottage. Nice and spacious and of high quality with everything you could need. The area is quite secluded and very quiet but ideal for a peaceful break. The garden is a great size but unfortunately due to the weather we didn't get the use of it. Its location is ideal for getting to all the great places the Cotswolds has to offer and would stay here again in the future.

Christmas Cotsworlds Stay

Wow—what an incredible home! From the moment you walk in, you’re struck by the generous living spaces and the beautiful garden. Having everything on a single level is a huge bonus. We especially loved the well-stocked library, the excellent quality TV, and a kitchen that truly has everything you need to cook and enjoy meals together. The hosts went above and beyond, even putting up a Christmas tree, which made our stay feel extra special and festive.

Wonderful place to stay

Spend an excellent week at Gardeners Cottage with family. Beautiful house with stunning public rooms and plenty of places to sit and chat/relax/ read/ play games etc. And that was during a cold miserable week of March weather! Unfortunately we weren’t able to take advantage of the wonderful outdoor space and excellent outdoor furniture due to the wind chill factor …minus 3 on several days! Well appointed kitchen with a very grand dining room but plenty room to dine also in the kitchen. Lovely bedrooms and comfy beds with great showers. Couldn’t fault it! We had a wonderful holiday and are very grateful to the owners for allowing us to rent their beautiful property. Would love to return!

Beautiful, spacious, clean house in a perfect location

This house is absolutely perfect and impeccably decorated. The home and grounds are stunning. We had six people and had ample, comfortable seating and eating space. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook several meals at home. There are two large refrigerators as well. The bedrooms were nicely sized with comfortable beds. The house is also pretty well appointed for elderly people. It is a one story home and one of the bathrooms had a curbless shower so it was perfect for our elderly family members. The location is good and has plenty of parking. The hosts provided clear instructions for appliances, etc along with a book full of good local recommendations. Pricing was more than fair and we all had an amazing stay. Would 100% recommend.

Gardener's Cottage Easter 2026

The cottage was generally very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the conservatory a delight. However, the large open plan lounge, dining, kitchen did not get as warm as we would have liked. The Nespresso coffee machine didn't work and although there was a cupboard of DVDs, there did not appear to be a DVD player. The annex was cosy but the floor could have been cleaner. More outside lighting is needed between the main house and the annex for safety. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Gardener's Cottage.

Wonderful and enchanting!

Second time this year. Can't fault the beauty of the place. I know it's not great to put this on a review but as I've been twice in different seasons there appears to be a annoying wasp nest that could have been sorted. With such an open space they seemed to thrive on our being there Hopefully the third time we come back it'll be actioned Thanks for the the lovely welcoming gifts. Such a heaven of a place.

Gardeners Cottage KW

What a real pleasure it was to stay at The Gardeners Cottage. The property itself is of a very high quality spec but also feels like a lived in home which is great. The contents and layout had everything you could need and more and of high quality, the additional annex is a real bonus and you certainly want for nothing at the property. The property itself is very large, more than what you expect, the conservatory was the added bonus and again a great size area with lots of seating and views of the garden There is a fantastic garden and patio area including a putting green. It was a lovely peaceful week we had, the area is great and not too far to travel to some other great places in the Cotswolds. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break but within easy distance to other areas then this is perfect. We would return when we next in the area.

Beautiful, home from home

Gardener’s cottage is a delight. It’s actually deceptively large - a bit like the tardis! Everything you need and more is provided - I’ve never seen so many books in a holiday cottage. The beds are comfortable and the lounge is really cosy to relax in. It feels like staying in a well-loved family home. Must say a big thank you to the property manager, Richard, who was extremely helpful - especially when we managed to lock ourselves out - beware of the Yale lock! Because we were there in November we took logs for the woodburner, but didn’t use it as it’s tucked away in the dining room, which we didn’t need use. There is everything you need in the main open plan area of the house. The location and garden are lovely. The downside is that there is no pub, or any other amenity you can walk to, but there is lots of choice a short drive away. If you want peace and quiet it’s perfect. Overall we loved it and thought it was great value for money. Would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

Beautiful Home in a perfect location

The Gardners Cottage gave us a wonderful base to explore the Cotswolds and the region is truly an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Each day we loaded up in our vehicle and set off to explore a different area of the region. The Gardners Cottage is well appointed and beautifully laid out - it easily accommodates a large group of people. Being essentially on a single level it would accommodate people with some mobility issues. The outside area and gardens were beautiful and much appreciated with the 30C+ tempertures that we had during our stay. The beds were on the firm side but the linens were nice and the towels were very absorbent. There is a large capacity washer and dryer available in a spacious utility room. The kitchen was well equipped for a vacation rental. There were lots of dishes, glasses and cutlery and ample pots and cookware. A few more spices other than salt, pepper and EVOO would have been appreciated. The kitchen would also have benefitted from being better equipped for general clean up like having J cloths available to wipe the counters versus using the sponge used for washing the dishes. There was a good supply of dish soap, diswasher tablets and clothes washing products available for use. They do have a large supply of interesting places to see and lots of information on walks and biking throughout the Cotswolds. We did run into a couple of issues while we were there and the property manager generally was easy to contact but was not always completely helpful. Overall I would highly recommend the Gardners Cottage for your trip to explore the Cotswolds.

Stunning property

Property is spacious and thoughtfully laid out and beautifully decorated. There is everything you need e.g. large fridge freezer with ice maker. Large utility room washer and drier and cleaning products. Plenty of hanging space for coats and boots in the hallway. The kitchen has all the cooking utensils and equipment you have at home. There conservatory is a lovely relaxing space. The bedrooms are comfortable. Garden is beautiful, with an excellent selection of garden furniture and a putting green. Perfect property for socialising and relaxing.
