It exceeded my expectations, although the check-in process wasn’t straight forward due to inconsistent communication from the host. Overall, good experience.
It is NOT renovated. The wood and cabinets are damaged wood (not a lovely aged veneer - cheap wood, paint damage, particle board). The kitchen counter is just a piece of wood unattached to a piece of metal it's sitting upon. (I have photos & video). The couch has no table; I pulled a small plant stand from under the stairs to use as a table it wobbled and the screws were loose so I had to lay it on its side and place a tray on it - I have photos).
The bathroom has no mirror and the only other mirror is at the far corner in the bedroom where there the lamp has no light bulb in it - so getting ready in morning was a battle.
And there are other issues of just not "up to par" for a basic place (and certainly not renovated!!!). They asked me to communicate through a contact, Sophie, via Whatsapp. I messaged Sophie saying the place is not working (shower and getting dressed is just impossible) so I vacated and moved to a hotel. I asked Sophie for consideration of a refund - and she has still not replied. (Though we'd communicated rapidly when the wifi wasn't working as she quickly reset it.)
1) Shower doesn't work, when it does it's after a half hour of fiddling and the trick to get it working isn't consistent.
2) Cups in the cupboard are foggy plastic old mismatched sports giveaway cups
3) I couldn't find certain things in the cupboard and eventually found it was in the dishwasher but it was unclear if it they were clean, looked dirty.
4) Bed cover has a hole in it.
