This was a great place to stay! Beautiful house, very clean! It was walking distance to parades! Easy drive to Bourbon street! Very well secured! We loved it!!
The house is bigger and nicer in person than in the pictures. It is an older home in an older neighborhood with classic New Orleans character. Close to everything! The host was very responsive when we had a question. Will stay here again! Thank you!
The inside pictures doesn't do the home justice. I was pleasantly surprised on how big and nice it was. Check in process was easy. Would definitely stay again if we vacation in NOLA.

Ms. Dawn and her guest were very respectful of the property and took very good care of it. We are glad they enjoyed their stay and would be welcomed back in the future.
I'm sorry that your vehicle was stolen from the area, however this neighborhood is one of the safest neighborhoods in the New Orleans area. More vehicles thefts (property crime) and persons crime are statistically higher in the downtown area then this neighborhood. You did not inform me of any problems concerning your stay while at the property nor when you checked out, but after you wrote your review I checked out the exterior cameras that are at the property and noticed that on 07-28-2024 at 4:13 a.m. you left your vehicle doors opened and unattended with the vehicle running while you were inside for several minutes. I did noticed two subjects entered your vehicle and drive off after they observed your unattended running vehicle with the doors opened. I am not trying to make any excuses and am sorry that your vehicle was taken, but your review of my property unfortunately is not 100 percent accurate. Your vehicle may have been stolen, but it is imperative no matter what city or state you are in to secure your own property. Once again I wish you would have reached out to me and maybe you could have provided the police with further information, but you chose not to. As stated earlier per statistics this neighborhood is very safe and after hosting for several years have never had one problem or concern when it came from any criminal act. Thanks and wish you well in the future.
We came into town for the final weekend of Xavier’s Homecoming. Over all the neighborhood was quiet, located near multiple restaurants, not too far from downtown, and the house was very nice. You could tell the house was on the older side, but upgrades and renovations had been done, we like the fact that all the old door fixtures were kept. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was nice having a tv in every room along with a nice tv in the main room. We did have an issue with the toilet in the master bathroom not flushing after the first use on the night we arrived, and because it was the weekend a plumber could not come out. I was disappointed in the fact that I had to follow-up with the owner and ask when or if a plumber was coming instead of them following up with us. It would also be helpful if there were labels on the light switches as when we arrived at night I’m sure the neighbors thought something was wrong because we were flicking lights on and off. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend this home and look to stay in the future.
Overall we had a good stay, but there were some significant problems that we experienced. We checked in on Christmas Eve to discover the house was 58 degrees and the bedframe in one of the bedrooms was broken. I messaged the owner via VRBO and he responded right away and also called me. True to his word the property management company came the next day on Christmas to replace the bedframe and they checked the furnace. To be fair it was unseasonably cold in New Orleans those first few days and the houses there are generally not well insulated so I tried to be understanding. The next few days everything was fine with the furnace but then it stopped working entirely and it got very cold in the house again even though it had warmed up some outside. The owners promptly had a HVAC company come out right away and they fixed it. I commend how quickly the owners responded and got the problems fixed. The owners did give us a slight refund for the broken bead frame on the first night (which I do appreciate) but not for the ongoing furnace issues/cold temperatures that we experienced two of the seven days/nights in the home. I did not ask for an additional slight refund due to the furnace issues, but I think it would have been an appropriate gesture on their part given the ongoing cold temperatures we experienced in the house.
Overall the house was spacious and met our needs. The neighborhood, like most neighborhoods in New Orleans, has some good parts and sketchy parts, but I always felt safe in the house (they have a security system there). We saw a few of the neighbors and they were friendly. The house was close (driving wise) to the City Park and the French Quarter. I would overall recommend this property to other renters.
We had a nice experience overall. We traveled to Nola for a family wedding. This property slept 7 people comfortably. It was clean and well equipped. At first we were a little concerned about the neighborhood but quickly realized that it mirrored most of the neighborhoods in Nola. It was very convenient as far as ubering to all the wedding events. We would book again if ever in Nola. Check in and out was easy and convenient. Victoria was very prompt in answering emails too.
Great location. Floor in the kitchen and one bathroom was very unclean upon arrival. Everything else was very clean. Beds definitely need a mattress topper. Overall great place to stay.
My husband, myself and my husband's siblings and spouse (of one) got together to honor their Mother who passed away in December of 2021. It was her dream for all of us to go back to NOLA together. We kept the plans, in honor of her. And staying at a home was perfect for us. We could see NOLA, eat the wonderful food, and come back to the house and all be together. Wonderful experience for us all. We thank Victoria and Gemaule for hosting us, and we would recommend them to everyone looking for a place to share NOLA and be together as a group.
I loved the place. It had a lot of character and was exactly as advertised. The stay was just what my family needed.
