Enjoy this cozy cabin nestled in the heart of the Ozarks. Lost Valley View Cabin is centrally located for all your upper Buffalo River activities. We are a farm so you can watch granny milk each morning and enjoy the butter, eggs, and meat grown right here. This cabin comes with a yard of your own, a fire pit (firewood 5$ an armload), an ice maker, a smart tv with free Wi-Fi, a charcoal grill, and modern plumbing to make this little cabin your home away from home. Directions- Take Firetower road off of highway 43. Go exactly 3.5 miles and turn left on Crossroads road. Pass Crossroads church and stay straight, (do not take Stoverville to the left directly after the church, it takes you to Ponca the back way, down the mountain) . Just type in Lost Valley View Cabin on google maps and it will guide you right in. Cabin will be on the left just passed the third cattle guard. It is exactly one mile from Firetower road. Just open the gate and make yourself at home. Bring your fishing pole for the pond and do not forget to ask about farm raised products including beef, butter, eggs, and more! .We do have Pyrenees dogs who watch over the farm, they are harmless and part of the landscape.

This was my sixth time visiting what we lovingly refer to as the "cow cabin" (for the peaceful, hilltop ranch setting) with my kids. A perfect retreat.
We loved our peaceful stay at the cabin. Hiking spots, zip lining and kayaking were all within a short driving distance. The cabin was perfect for the three of us to spend at the end of the day.
Gorgeous property. Make sure to get up early enough to see the beautiful sunrise from the porch. Kids loved the dogs and husband caught a big bass while fishing at the pond. Will definitely be back!

Nice mountain view
Probably a good place to take children. Cabin is well equipped. Hiking within a few miles. River service at Ponca.
We enjoyed our stay being "Lost in the Valley." It is a fun place to get away with all the amenities needed for your stay. It is quiet, great for star gazing or astrophotography, and close enough to the Boxley Valley area to enjoy hiking, kayaking, cruzing the highways, dinner at Low Gap Cafe or to just sit back and enjoy a camp fire with smores watching the sunset/rise. Hosts are great folks and we will definitely go back again.

This cabin exceeded our expectations, the view was breathtaking the pictures dont do justice.
The cabin was very clean and had almost everything you need. We enjoyed the hammock, watching the hummingbirds, sitting by the fire and watching the sunset. The view from the cabin was amazing. Loved how secluded the cabin was, only surrounded by cows. I would reccomend visiting the area in a truck bc of the ruff backroads. We will be coming back & reccomending to friends and family!

We are so happy when guest enjoy their stay! I just wanted to say that it is a county maintained road all the way to the cabin. But, due to torrential rain lately, the road did get a little rough. While it is secluded, the road is very nice, most of the time, and many guest drive cars. Once again it our mission for guest to have a relaxing getaway and we are excited about another great review! Thanks
The property was beautiful and secluded, very clean had surprisingly good cell service while there. The cabin had everything we needed for a weekend stay, and the owner was very communicative. I may note that the driveway is about a mile long, and is gravel so if you stay after a real heavy rain then you may want to take it easy down it in case of a few small potholes, but nothing serious. Would absolutely stay here again.
Love the location as we can see sunrise every morning. Love the remoteness of the place, the interior was beautiful and it provided a lot of privacy. Kitchen was so cute and provided so much.
There were quite some bugs that got inside though but i guess that’s normal considering the location?
Loved the cows, birds, solitude.

cute little cabin with beautiful view! Very peaceful!
Yes, the cabin is small, but has everything needed (additional hand towels would have been a plus); is peaceful, CLEAN, wonderful view from the porch! The location is easy driving distance from trails and viewing the elk! Any questions I had were promptly answered! This was my first VRBO experience....won't be my last! Thanks for sharing your paradise!

Thank you for the wonderful review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay! We will add more hand towels for future guest and thanks for the recommendation for improvement. We want our guest to want for nothing!
There were wood roaches in the home and we slept in our vehicle both nights. The owner did spray the interior for bugs a few hours after I notified them, but we continued to see live roaches in the house and chose to sleep in our vehicle instead. Other than the roaches, the view from the front porch was amazing!

We regret that wood roaches are making a break for the inside due to the spring and the cabin being made of wood. Wood roaches are much different than cockroaches and we have never had cockroaches. The cabin stays rented so it's inevitable that a guest was there for the spring awakening of many bugs in the Ozarks.
This little cabin is quaint and sweet. We came for an anniversary getaway and spent most daylight hours hiking. This place is pretty close and easily accessible to the centerpoint trail where we hiked to goats bluff. 😍 The best part of this cabin is the amazing sunrise you’ll see each morning!! Amazing!!! The hosts are so friendly and easily accessible. Perfect place for someone wanting to spend most of their time outdoors.♥️♥️♥️
My husband and I stayed on the property for our 22nd wedding anniversary. The morning of our anniversary, we were able to watch the most beautiful sunrise, and a doe and her fawn were just lounging in the yard. So quiet and peaceful! It made for the best getaway! We will definitely be back!
One of the coolest tiny homes I’ve stayed in! Gorgeous view from the front porch & everything was clean/ready to use. Can easily sleep 6 people. Very remote spot so you will get tons of privacy. Only regret not staying longer
My husband and yer mom brought our 4 small children. We loved waking up to beautiful sunrises and roasted marshmallows over the campfire at night. Ronnie and his family were so accommodating and welcomed us onto the farm. We enjoyed beautiful hikes very close by. We’ll definitely be back.
The location marked on VRBO is inaccurate, It took us to Downtown Ponca, luckily the owner of the property was able to give us a GPS pin to follow once we were able to get wifi. Once we got there, it was GORGEOUS. Super pretty landscape. Friendly animals. We hope to come back.

The whole stay was completely peaceful, the wifi was on point to help us gps to anywhere we needed, the cows were friendly and my kids loved them coming by every morning... We will definitely be returning one year
What an amazingly authentic cabin in the Ozark National Forest! This cozy cabin located on a family farm in Ponca, AR was exactly what we were looking for in accommodations for our 2 night stay. It had everything we needed and so much more for our family of 4 - plus the price is unbelievable! Each night we would play games (good selection of games in the cabin) & have dinner on the porch while watching the cattle herd graze from pasture to pasture. We played horseshoes, had a campfire, went for walks to the main farmhouse/pond, watched the fireflies, sunrises were magnificent. Cabin was clean & comfortable with fans & A/C, plenty of hot water for showers, nice kitchen (large fridge for groceries!), enough pillows/blankets & sheets for the 4 of us. It was also fenced in with a large, manicured lawn (great for playing catch/frisbee/volleyball - bring your own equipment though!) It was close to the hiking trails in the area that we came for and also near the Buffalo River access points. Owner(s) very responsive & helpful! Thank you to them for sharing this piece of pure solitude that they live in with the rest of us!

About the host

Why they chose this property
This property was purchased by my grandfather a long time ago, Clifford Clark. His land reached all the way into Lost Valley but he was bought out in the making of the state park. That's why Clark Creek is the name of the main watershed into Lost Valley State Park.
What makes this property unique
This cabin is located on what was once the main county road from Newton County to Clarksville. It is sill a county road so it's maintained but it ends at the old farmhouse, so it's basically a maintained private drive way. Lost Valley View cabin borders Lost Valley and is located right in the heart of Newton County and minutes from the head waters of the Buffalo National River. We would love to share our home so you can vacation comfortably and deliberately!
