This was a fantastic relaxing space for a family with laundry and all the amenities you need, well located 5 min to groceries Claudia our host was very informative a perfect spot to come back to relax after long days visiting all the site's

A beautiful place to stay adjoining the main chateau. We had a very relaxing week in l'orangerie which is around 10mins from the lovely city of Bayeux and around 30mins from the coast.Claudia is an excellent host with very good communication for an easy check in. She even tried to help us when our car suffered a flat battery!Facilities include a washing machine and we also enjoyed table tennis in the beautiful grounds at the rear of the property.Overall we would highly recommend and we also thought it was very good value for money.

The castle and surrounding grounds were beautiful. Our host Claudia made us feel right at home and was very accomodating. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would definitely stay here again if we return to France.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Orangerie. Claudia and her husband have put so much love into the property. Not only is it a beautiful place to stay, it was wonderful to have the opportunity to meet the owners and learn about the history of the chateau and the attention to detail they had when creating these suites. The grounds are gorgeous. We only wished we had more time there. We had a rental car and it was a very easy drive in Bayeux. One of the days we did an Overlord tour and they picked us up here. Google Maps brought us right to the property. Staying here makes a special trip even more special and memorable!

Simply wonderful!

Beautiful property in a lovely location close to Bayeaux and Arromanche.Everything was exactly as described, spotless and the beds were all very comfortable.

Our host was wonderful and was easy to communicate with both before and during visit. The property is just outside Bayeux in the countryside of Normandy. The property was clean and beautifully decorated. The 3 Beds were big and comfortable. Out back was a small lake and wonderful farm. There was a washer but you have to dry your clothes in a folding rack. Bayeux was 5 minutes away, Beaches were 20 minutes and Mont St Michael was 1.5 hours.

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Orangerie's. It was a pleisure having you with us. As to washer dryer it washes and dryes automatically unless the program 30° Celsius is activated. Items like wool or silk would be damaged by the dryer. It works however for usual materials like cotton and synthetics.

A romantic and beautiful chateau stay.

This is such a beautiful and relaxing property! Our gracious hosts met us and gave us the fascinating history of this 1720's chateau. The apartment is beautifully appointed and such a relaxing home to come back to after a busy day of visiting the local sites. Merci encore pour une visite impeccable !

Gorgeous orangerie next to ancient chateau

We can't speak highly enough about our stay! Hosts Claudia and Michel were so welcoming, the bedrooms are luxurious, the living and dining area huge, and everything spotless. Add the lovely surroundings and beautiful nearby village and you have the perfect vacation home.

Wonderful Location and Fabolous Property

I was visiting this part of France with my wife, mother and mother in law, we had a really enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend it as an ideal location for anybody visiting the area. The host had a wealth of information on Normandy and we found the accommodation relaxing and exquisitely furnished and decorated.

A lovely warm welcome from Claudia and Michel. The Orangerie had everything we needed and the decor was sublime. The laundry facilities and small but very well equipped gym were a great bonus and the grounds and views beautiful. Just a short drive outside Bayeux, this was a wonderful location from which to tour Normandy. We will definitely consider visiting again.

Joy near Bayeux

The host of this gorgeous home is delightful and extremely helpful. Perfect location for visiting all Normandy sights while being in a country setting. Wish we could have stayed longer. We would go back again.

L'Orangerie

We were delighted by the property. It was close to Bayeux and all it has to offer, yet located in such a way as to get to Mont St. Michel and Normandy easily. The property itself is beautiful and the owner was so helpful with dining and sightseeing ideas. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Bayeux getaway

The property was lovely and Claudia was extremely helpful. Communication in advance was easy and her suggestions on places to visit were so appreciated. She even made dinner reservations for us on our arrival night! The property was roomy and charming!

Magical French Countryside

Beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom chateau in a green and lush setting. Easy drive from Rouen - our jumping off point - and then to the Normandy beaches. We drove as far as Mont St Michel - easy day drive. Great beds and helpful, friendly hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay.

Perfect spot for families

We loved our stay! The location was perfect for touring Normandy, and the garden offered such a peaceful setting for ending our days. Claudia was charming as could be and very accommodating. The space worked great for our group of 5 (4 adults and a 5 year old). My son especially loved the balcony, because it made a great launch pad for the parachute toys he got from the WW2 museum. Highly recommend!
