This home is situated next to Kent Point Marina at the Southern most tip of Kent Island. If you enjoy crabbing, fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming - it can all be done from this property. You will enjoy panoramic views of the Chesapeake bay from most rooms. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking! One of the most visited spots by photographers for the wonderful view of the bay, Bloody Point Bar Lighthouse and the Eagles! Many options for outdoor entertaining areas including your own 350' beach which is shared with one other VRBO family. Central location allows for day trips to DC, Annapolis, Baltimore, & St. Michaels.

Dine at Knoxie's Table, Harris Crab House, The Narrows, The Fisherman's Inn, The Jetty, Bridges (among many others). Golf at nearby Queenstown Harbor Golf. Bike on the Cross Island Trail. Visit the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center and Terrapin Park or Mattapeake Beach. Take scenic drives to many exciting areas on the Chesapeake Bay including the US Naval Academy in Annapolis (30 minutes) or the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels. Many outlet stores are also nearby in Queenstown. Fishing and Crabbing Trips may be arranged for an additional fee departing right from your front yard! We can help arrange your crab feast or fish fry upon your return!

Outstanding Stay

We've stayed in several VRBO rentals, but this is by far the best! Perfectly located on a beautiful private beach, with everything you need for a relaxing vacation with your family! Great communication with the host. Make sure to grab some local crabs right next door! I can imagine us returning in the future to make more unforgettable memories. We also had a great time on a charter fishing trip that began just 15 minutes away. It's a great location that's only an hour from Washington, DC.

Great location and very well equipped

We picked this place because it was close to my brother’s house on the bay, but we were pleasantly surprised with how well this house was equipped and furnished to accommodate our family. We used the kitchen for meals, did karaoke in the large family room, used the kayaks on the bay, and went to the marina store for souvenir shirts and fresh oysters. We will definitely be back!

We LOVED staying here and will be returning - the kids are already talking about going back soon. This was the perfect get-away for our family. The bedroom/bathroom layout worked wonders - with the added bonus of a gorgeous view from the master bedroom. The firepit was filled with wood when we got there - and we took advantage of making smores and watching the boats sail by in the sunset every night. The steamed crabs that are available at the marina food truck are the best in Maryland and somehow the corn was even better. The kitchen was well stocked - we cooked some nights and this made it very easy. It's a quick drive up to the supermarket for forgotten items. There is a small farm with peach/apple/vegetable picking less than a mile away. Thank you for being gracious hosts - we can't wait to return!

Ultimate Relaxing and Fun for all Get A Way

The Host (Heidi) was comparable to a concierge at a 5-star hotel but virtually. Everything you could want or need was on site. The crabs at the Marina are famous and make certain you order the potatoes- fabulous. The house is so warm and comfortable. Eagles nest right on the property. The view of the bay is incredible as are all the Boats, ships, and the lighthouse right across from the property. Highly recommend!!!

Peaceful, easy feeling

This place was perfect for our family of 4, enough space and the most serene view. Very quiet and tucked away with a private beach, just the right depth for wading with small kids. The marina next door was quiet, the neighborhood was sleepy, and we enjoyed the large yard, fire pit for s’mores, back deck on the water, and the large family room with a view of the bay. Heide was quick to respond to all our needs, delivering toilet paper and dishwasher detergent within hours. Check in and check out were super simple. It was a great stay and we hope to go back soon!

Simply the best.

Everything about this property is amazing. Squeaky clean, plenty of room, and everything you could want for a Chesapeake vacation. Heidi was very responsive, a great host. We had a problem with the a/c (part user error on our part, part unprecedented heat wave), and Heidi responded right away, and even went out and bought us box fans at 9pm so we could stay cool. She had a repair technician out the next day. The beach was great for our kids to play, and the bait shop makes a delicious crab boil! We will be back for sure.

Relaxing

Seven of my childhood friends and I stayed at this wonderful House with a stellar location right on the water. We spent lots of time on the sandy beach utilizing the beach chairs, umbrella & kayaks that were available to us as well as the fire pit in the evening. Heide the owner always responded quickly to our questions & helped out with the grill & brought us more toiletries when needed. The marina store was very convenient & the food we ordered from there was fantastic! I highly recommend this “off the beaten path” home to anyone that wants a view & relaxation. The proximity to Annapolis is also a plus if you want to explore that historic town. Overall we had a really great ling weekend!

Private piece of Paradise

We LOVE this property! We love everything about it! The house was very clean and tidy! There was a stock of household products and cooking supplies to get us started. We stayed on the water non stop with the 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks provided for use. We loved not having to share our private beach front. We loved watching all the ships and crab boats coming in and out, passing by us! We loved watching the bald eagles! We bought dinner next door at the Marina and it was the best crab, scallops, shrimp and fish ever!! Be aware that there are jellyfish in the water but we left them alone and they left us alone. Grocery stores and shopping are about 20 minutes away but we did go next door to the marina a few times and picked some items up. If you want a vacation that is quiet and away from the hussle and bussle of that “tourist” feeling- then this one is for you! The owner is very friendly and not afraid to have a conversation with you! Answered many questions and gave several suggestions! We will be back for family vacation and maybe even weekend getaway’s! We were always Myrtle Beach goers-not anymore!

Beautiful, serene location, home needs tweaking to be ready for prime time

Positives: Quiet, and unsurpassed water views. Narrow beach and shallow water make this home perfect for young children. Owner generously provides kayaks and paddle boards. House is clean, and views from large windows are lovely. Owner Is flexible, casual, and responds quickly to questions. Negatives: There were a number of small, but distracting issues including (loud) leaky faucet that lacked sink stopper, food left in freezer, dead light bulbs, dirty lounge chairs which required cleaning before use, a dangerously protruding pipe in the yard, and the owner’s friendly, but scary, pit bull escaping/running free. Worst issue resulted from what may have been a dead mouse, and terrible odor, that restricted use of laundry room and third bathroom. In short, owner should take a very thorough walk through immediately prior to every guest rental. This would likely result in identifying and addressing problems, and a more consistently satisfying guest experience. To her great credit, owner demonstrated interest in honest/corrective feedback. Hope she thrives managing this home.

Where do I begin? From booking this property primarily on previous VRBO ratings, to the responsiveness of owners. Let's just say this. For a family with smaller kids (and for us, grandkids), simply perfect. A vast lawn awaits you, which overlooks one's private beach (not a typo). And the view one awakens to every morning (sunrise/sunset), as we say in N.J. (fugheddtabout it). The icing(s) on the cake happen to be, what looks like, a custom designed fire pit for evening fires seaside. And, lastly, when was the last time you observed not one, but two, bald eagles hanging out (roosting) from outside the house and the comforts of the master bedroom? What a great week! I reiterate many comments from others - 2 adults, a 3+ & 2+ year old. Barely left the property, used many house items - canoes (kids even felt safe to come on with us with vests!), paddle board, grill, fire pit, beach chairs, toys, kite, etc. Plenty of towels, linens, and utensils. Frequently saw 2 bald eagles, crabs by the marina, fishermen/ boating activity, and picturesque sunsets. Private beach right on property was perfect (not lugging kids far=win!), jellies in the water but we canoed and played by the edge without a problem. Food from Kent Point Marina next door was delicious- a must! Would absolutely stay here again! Great for family friends or quiet getaway.

The Great Escape

We love this place - have stayed multiple times. And we even had the opportunity to rent a neighboring home from the owner - our extended family loved it. The location is such a great place to get away from everything (and everyone). The owner is super responsive and even dropped off some helpful items unprompted. When we had an issue, the owners showed up on our schedule and were in and out to fix it in 15mins. Zero disruption to our vacation. Highly reccomend!

Stunning property

Our family (4 adults, 2 children) really enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous property. We were outside ALL the time (except to sleep- LOL). Owner was very responsive, check-in was a breeze. Hope, at the Bait Shop, prepared some delicious meals - highly recommend ordering from there. This is a quiet, relaxing spot to enjoy the company of family and/or friends.

There are no words (negative) that I can say. Our whole experience from booking, checking in, during our stay and check out was phenomenal. Heidi is amazing hands down as is her property. We traveled with our special needs young adult and the layout of the house was perfect. There are just 3 steps into the BUT nothing that a little elbow grease and lifting wouldn't help. My son enjoyed all of the panoramic views and did we. We loved having access to the private beach. We ordered our seafood boil right from the crab shack and it was DEEEEElicious. The property was clean and beautiful. I would definitely stay again!

Perfect vacation!

WOW. I cannot quite sum up in words how gorgeous this property is. We were a group of moms who met in a mommy group online seven years ago and lIve all across the US. We needed this time together. The rooms were great, the living room was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, but it was all about the outdoors. The lawn and private beach were incredible. We spent hours everyday outside and had the most wonderful time. Thank you so much Heide - we hope to be back again!

Great Thanksgiving Stay

We rented this property in order to have a Thanksgiving get together with our son and his family in Annapolis. There were 4 adults and 3 children ages 6, 5 and 2. There was plenty of space for everyone including our Annapolis son and family who visited during the day. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking a Thanksgiving feast. The boys really enjoyed the beach in spite of the fact that it was too cold to swim, and the adults enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We also enjoyed watching the crabbers painting their traps for the winter at the marina next door. We appreciated that the owner allowed us to shift our dates at the last minute to try to avoid some of the Northeast corridor Thanksgiving traffic.

We purchased this property and lived in the home while restoring the business to include a store where the watermen can get their daily bait and supplies needed to work on the water bringing in the bays bountiful harvest of seafood that we all enjoy! We have since moved to the farm house behind the marina and are offering our marina home for you and your family to enjoy. In 2022 we acquired another home on the street which will allow you to invite friends/family to book with you in their own home. The family will share the 350' beach with you.

Why they chose this property

This property is truly unique in that it is situated on the Chesapeake Bay in front of Bloody Point Lighthouse and some of the "hottest" fishing spots on the bay. You will witness the work of the watermen as the come and go daily with crabs and fish. You are at the southern most tip of the island and have beautiful views of the water and your own beach.

What makes this property unique

2 -Stand up Paddle boards and 2 - Kayaks are provided with your rental. The Marina offers a center console Sea Hunt boat at additional fees for experienced boat operators for your enjoyment (recommend booking in advance). We can help arrange fishing, boating and crabbing excursions for you. Or just steam the crabs for you to enjoy.
