Bow-wood Suite @ BoisD’Arc Bungalow & Suites - Rustic/Romantic Getaway

RELAX - COME ENJOY Texas hospitality at its best. THE Bow-wood suite is a romantic space, in an old 1927 remodeled ‘catalog’ Bungalow (we think a Sears Roebuck)with king, comfortable bed, with a smart TV in bedroom also. In sitting area, there is a Fireplace, recliner, smart TV, and makeup area. Large private bathroom with spa like shower unit. Included for our guests to enjoy are continental breakfast fixings, candies and miscellaneous snacks/goodies. Plus, washer/dryer available in ‘common area’, plus extra 1/2 bath, kitchenette with full size refrigerator and a comfy living room area for our guest to enjoy (particularly if they have guests, they won’t have to visit in their suite!). Old fashioned front porch seating for your morning coffee or maybe a nice glass of wine in the evening, or if you prefer - a gazebo in the back courtyard area to enjoy. We are located near downtown, so within walking distance to restruants, drug store, multiple churches, breweries, etc.
We do want you to know we are located on a corner lot - so there is a little ‘traffic noise’ when you are outside, very little inside and there are 3 (total) private suites in this Main Bungalow building (2 king and 1 queen suite)! Kerrville is a great base for motorcyclists, bicyclists and old car enthusiast - Texas Highway 39 hugs the Upper Guadalupe River, we are not actually on TX 39 BUT can serve as a great staging point for the rest of the Hill Country, no matter which direction you choose to go! We are close to Bandera, Leaky, Lost Maples State Park, Medina, Comfort, Ingram, Hunt, Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, Sisterdale, Boerne, the 'Three Twisted Sisters', etc.. You could even go on a day tour of the nearby wineries, breweries and distilleries - if you like, a limo will pick you up And drop you off right at our door!
Come back and relax on the covered front porch, while watching the deer go by or even on the patio.

This is one of the nicest VRBO’s I have ever stayed in. It is truly lovely and very relaxing. The host go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, including an assortment of things to pick from for breakfast. They even provide milk for cereal or coffee and butted for English muffins.

It is difficult to say enough good about this stay. Clair was amazing in her accommodations! The attention to detail, while going above and beyond was simply remarkable. All of this in the midst of unbelievable tragedy in Kerrville. As we left they were preparing to offer their resort to first responders. We feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay and to meet such wonderful people.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were perfect for the occasion - kitchenette area, very comfortable bed, setting was intimate yet spacious with comfortable chairs/sofa. Clair was an ideal hostess - gave us the "grand tour" when we arrived and made us feel right at home. We will definitley return and will recommend this to everyone.

Lovely escape in charming Texas wine country. We were greeted by the hosts and they had literally everything we could need during our stay, including sweet treats upon our arrival. The kitchenette area was perfect for making snacks and tea/coffee during our stay. We could not have asked for a more wonderful stay. Quiet neighborhood street and only a few minutes away from downtown Kerrville. Great amenities, including outdoor seating, spa shower and cozy living area. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice weekend getaway.

All the comforts of home!

We were in Kerrville to visit our son who just moved into his junior year college apartment. Clair was nice enough to host us for one night. The room came with every amenable We could think of.. And probably a few we didn’t think of! The common area was cozy and a good place for us to hang out with our friends who rented one of the other rooms. The kitchenette was fully stocked, As well as a little mini bar area in our room.. Like I said, anything we could’ve thought to ask for, she already had in place. Definitely recommend this little piece of Heaven to anybody looking to stay in Kerrville!

Perfect Place to Stay in Kerrville!

We were in Kerrville for a very short visit and found this listing as one of the first to come up. So glad we chose it! Was within walking distance to River Street and Main Street so we enjoyed a good stroll around town. Very easily accessible from the highway as well. The homeowner was just amazing! She had everything ready for us and was so cheerful and helpful when we met her. Every amenity you could want was tastefully displayed and readily available. Super cozy with a very comfortable bed and sitting area, throw blankets, electric fireplace, and an amazing bathroom and shower! There were some shared common areas that we pretty much had all to ourselves and some very pretty outdoor seating that we did not take advantage of because of the cold. Whenever we go back to Kerrville, we definitely plan to rent this one again!

Loved this gem!

This was such a cute property! I absolutely loved how it was decorated. The host greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. She is so charming! She gave us suggestions on places to eat and things to do while in the area. I was impressed by all the little details that were added to the rental. (The coffee bar was stocked with food and drinks, toiletries were in the drawers just in case something was left at home, over the counter meds were available…just in case, there was a special wash rag for makeup removal and much more.) After the long days, we spent both nights relaxing and visiting with friends while drinking wine on the side patio. The outside is just as adorable as the inside. This is my favorite VRBO experience thus far!

We have met the dearest, most wonderful guests/friends, a person could ever hope or dream for, by owning and operating our BnB‼️When we initially purchased this 1927 Bungalow (we think a Sears Roebuck catalog one) it was to be our office! We remodeled it at that time for that sole purpose and used it for several years! Then our daughter suggested turning it into a BnB - so here we go remodeling it again!
But that has been the very best decision we made, we have had the privilege of being able to meet the most interesting people from all walks of life and hope to do so for many years😉

Why they chose this property

As I mentioned earlier - this was initially purchased to be our office. But after a few years, things changed. The property is actually are part of a whole block, with 3 sides facing a street and we put in a private parking lot. Also we are situated just a few blocks from downtown - so very, very convent to most everything (restaurants, the Calioux, breweries, coffee shops, municipal golf course, River walk and much, much more)
Since we do have 2 corners, there is traffic noise when you are outside, but when you are inside it’s very muffled and the atmosphere is cozy/comfy!

What makes this property unique

When you just want to get away and relax, see the Hill Country and have your own ‘me time’ - but you would rather not stay in a ‘cold’ hotel/motel setting OR you don’t need a ‘whole’ house type BnB - stay with us, because you can have a full private suite in our 1927 Bungalow home, with comfy Hill Country decor. We are also a great BnB for adult friends/family to get together, but still want their own ‘space’! Our main Bungalow has three completely private suites - each with their own bedroom, sitting area, bathrooms and kitchenette. But, when you want to visit, please take advantage and utilize the ‘Common Area’
